Fall of the Rising Sun v2.0 runs on v1.4 also. It will usually not make it all the way through a career though without trouble. You might also want to give an older version of TMO a whirl:
REL_Trigger_Maru_1.7.2.7z. Not the latest / greatest, but hey, it runs.
