I have previous versions 3.5 and earlier and would be upset if override incurs other apps/games to stop functioning. I am using XP sp3 (Yea I know !)

Hi Nidge,
Only TWoS installer requires .NET Framework 4 in order to automatically configure few cfg files. The game it self will work fine with NF v3.5 IIRC .
I really don't see any reason why would your apps stop working with latest NF.
On the other hand, I moved from XP to win7 long time ago...
