Ok,
Open the Dat file you need to edit..
Look on the left hand side and open 00 Node - XXXX <--> Normally the or dat name and click.
Look down the left menu for the node reference you want to edit or change..
ETR3(33) has a brilliant guide to node references
here!!!
Once you have found the Node that you need to change - select the arrow to the left.
Then select the text opposite the arrow..
On your right you will see three area's...
Node positioning / Linked 3D model / Model preview
I normally click the arrow to the right of Linked 3d, to give me more space to work with.
Then click the "model preview text..
This will show the 3D model and will also show you where the object is, it will have three lines coming the central point.
Red - Blue - Green - Make sure the green line is facing the way the correct way you want your Node to face.
To re-posistion the Node, use the Node posistioning arrows.
