I'll be looking forward on getting this one, been ages from my last tank sim (I think it was Armored Fist 1 or 2 by NovaLogic), but once I get the hang of it, count me in.

Hello...

If and when SimHQ ever comes back online, and I can finally get my articles published and the word out to my readers that WW2 Battle Tanks is not only out, but great... then I will gauge the intrest of a roster to play against TankSim.

BTW, Great review Neal... funny how your MP screens show you killing me all the time, and in my review, all my screens show me killing you! lol. ;)

Onkel Neal 10-24-08 01:46 PM

Heh heh, funny how that works!

Hey, I never play online! I'm just a shy boy. :D

Well, that will never do. You need to strap on your tank and show test your mettle. :yep: You don't want to miss out on the MP experience a new tanksim like this brings.

Hope that helps Neal.. sorry Magnum I dragged your name into another article .. hope you forgive me..again lol ... well Iknow you will because its all good :)

Hello everyone!

I got the game today after few months of waiting. I have played RO's tank maps and this looks preatty good. Now we have to wait for the first patch.

Im in if you are planning any MP games. I am used to play online (ARMA, RO, BF2, CoD, BF2142 an so on) so after few rounds in SP to learn all the keys, I'm ready for real and thinkin opponents. :arrgh!:

Umm...

Its just me. Im a big fan of simulator games and especially online games (IL2, Lock On, GTR, LFS, RO, ARMA and so on) and I'm looking for mature players to play this game with. =)

I was hoping that I would find people to play MP and practice this game at this weekend.

BTW My Gamespy could't find the game. How do you manage the MP?

Proposal

Been reading many posts between here and the game's forum and I'm noticing something I hadn't thought would be an issue. A lot of people, either involved with a tank sqd. or interested in joining one for this game, have voiced a preffrence for the T34 over the Tiger.

I wonder if we should set things up for both sides. Have a sqd. for each. It will enable Tanksim sqd to broaden its involvment in the team matches that I'm sure are going to arise. (I hope they do anyway, on the order of IL2 and CFS). Most of the matches will probably be with realistic settings, meaning not death matches but of a historical nature. If there's a dearth of German sqds to go up against then we'll be able to (excuse this Fruedien slip) play with ourselves.

I will now don my, EHEM, CO's cap.:arrgh!: There, firmly in place. By a show of hands what is the concensus on the basic structure of this group? Some sqds I've been in like to be loose some like to be rigid, some like the tempid clime of the inbetween. How about command structure, how far do we want to go? IMHO, if we are going to do anything other than death matches then a couple of people calling the shots gives us a better chance of winning then if everyone does their own thing. For cooperation sake, you understand. If we can get 8 tanks on a map then we can break it down to two teams of four for flexibility. That would be two sqd leaders, one of which would be the plt. commander in overall command of the unit as a whole. Within those two sqds we can break it down further to two pairs (like wingmen) for more flexibility. Anyone who would like to give his tactical skills a try can have a turn at each position. Someone like myself who likes to take orders can opt out. (Can't be blamed for loosing the battle that way.)

OK CO hat off:doh: let me have it.
