Description
Webster's Faster Time Compression Near Land for v1.4 and v1.5
************************************************** ************************
this mod allows you to be able to use faster time compression when you are near land. (32x instead of the stock 4x)
because of this, it increases the opportunity of you grounding your sub if you dont watch where you are and what you are doing so use caution to prevent yourself from accidentally running aground.

this mod is done with an edit to the "main.cfg" file, so it is very likely to have conflicts with some other mods from time to time because the "main.cfg" is sometimes modded in other mods.

below i will show you how to do this mod yourself manually in order to be able to add it into any mod you want it in.

JSGME Install info:

As with all my mods, this mod is jsgme ready and it includes a read me file. Open the downloaded zip file and then open the mod folder.

Inside the read me will tell you about the mod and the folder next to it is the actual mod itself and that is the folder you need to put into jsgme.

choose the correct one for your game version.

================================================== ==================

How to manually add this mod to any mod you wish to have it in:

This mod is done with a simple edit to the "main.cfg" file found in "Data/ Cfg" file.

If the mod you are using has a "main.cfg" file found in it then you will need to open the "main.cfg" file found in it using windows "notepad", then follow the instructions below.

stock "main.cfg" file:
[TIME COMPRESSION]
TimeStop=0
RealTime=1
LandProximity=4 <<<< change this number to 32
CriticalDamage=1
CrewEfficiency=128;1
AirEnemyDetected=1
SoundEffects=2
CharacterAnim=4
EnemyDetected=8
RadioReport=8
Particles=8
PrayState=8
HunterState=32
3DRender=32
Maximum=8192

when you finish, save the changes when you close the file, that is all you have to do.

enjoy!

Very nice, The 4x speed irritated me. I used to worry that I might wear out my '+' key hitting it like 50,000 times a minute to get 8x speed, lol.

It'll be useful for me because I sometimes go off the beaten path exploring the map, often in shallows...thank you.

Thank god! A major annoyance is gone. Now how about fixing TC undo when radar technician needlessly warns you of all the friendly sightings outside Pearl, Perth, etc.
