Ok, you have to read this readme till the end, I will try to explain everything here, if you
ask me something I explained here on the thread I will not answer.. IT WOULD BE BETTER YOU READ IT THROUGH BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN ENJOY!!! I ALWAYS READ READMES ALTHOUGH right now I more or less know what goes where, so PLEASE, READ it. It is hard to write readmes(to try to point to everything) and then answer to stupid questions on the thread. It takes away the fun. BUT! If you are really stuck, pm me, I will try to answer the best I can or ask on the thread.
You can see two folders:
- Rbs1_SH4_Effects_GWX_21_204f
That is the main version of this mod. It is better explained in the big readme, but really
there is not much to talk about, it is JSGME ready, enable it and play.
TEST IT OUT TO SEE IF YOUR COMPUTER ALLOWS IT TO WORK NORMALLY(10-50 FPS, I GUESS THAT’S NORMAL). THE PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN OIL EXPLOSION EVENT OCCURS. IT STARTS A LOT OF PARTICLE GENERATORS AND KILLS FPS FOR COUPLE OF SECONDS DRAMATICALLY. IT IS NOT A PROBLEM IN THE OCEAN(ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES IT IS), BUT IN PORT IT COULD BE AND 99% IS. IF YOU FIND YOUR COMP DOESN’T DO IT OUT, CHECK OUT THE LITE VERSION THAT IS DESCRIBED BELOW IN THE TEXT. I JUST DEDUCTED SOME OF THE EVENTS AND REDUCED THE SIZE OF TEXTURES TO MAKE THIS “START OF THE EVENT OIL EXPLOSION AND SOME OTHER EVENTS” LESS FPS KILLER. ALSO I EXTRACTED ALL OF THE TEXTURES OF THE MOD(BRILLIANT WORK OF D.KRUGER) TO TEX FOLDER IN MAIN FOLDER AND LITE VERSION FOR YOU TO CHANGE IT, PLAY WITH IT OR MAME IT.
UNFORTUNATELY OIL FIRES STILL LOWER THE FPS(NOT MUCH BUT IT SHOWS) AND THAT IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE SMOKES FROM FIRES AND SMOKE FROM OIL FIRES, FOR NOW NOTHING CAN BE DONE.

Now, this is what I want to talk about here.
In it there are 8 folders, I will talk about each and every one right here.
1.Forsoundsandstarshells
That is a folder where you have this FOLDER called 'Live_AI_ships_sounds' which contains:
- sac_x (x being 1-9 and A) - this is the civilian ship's PA announcement (combined with shc_x)
- shc_x (x being 1-9 and A) - this is the civilian ship's horn/whistle (combined with sac_x)
- sam_x (x being 1-9 and A) - this is the military ship's PA announcement (combined with shm_x)
- shm_x (x being 1-9 and A) - this is the military ship's horn/whistle (combined with sam_x)
- sao_x (x being 1-9 and A) - this is for ship's announcement only (no horn/whistle) for military or civilian
- sho_x (x being 1-9 and A) - this is for ship's horn/whistle only (no PA announcement) for military or civilian
;and two readmes “I want a sound on a ship” and “I want a starshell gun on a ship”. THIS IS NOT A MOD. Here you have in sound folders all the ship sounds that you can change to your liking(but keep the name of the file the same) or you don’t want to change, just enable it. You enable those sounds and starshells by following the two readmes mentioned above.
2. Lifeboatcompatibility
This folder contains two smaller folders called Rbs2withbuoyanceand Rbs3withlifeboat . These two folders are JSGME ready. You apply them like this:
IF you want to play with lifeboats v3b or v2a(whatever version), you enable lifeboats mod with jsgme and then enable Rbs3withlifeboat. Be shure to enable the main folder Rbs1_SH4_Effects_GWX_21_204f before the two mods or BEFORE Rbs3withlifeboat. That will make this mod compatible to lifeboats.
IF you want to play with shipbuoyance mod(that comes with lifeboats mod v3b, the latest version) then enable Rbs2withbuoyance with JSGME AFTER the mentioned mods in this order: rbs1_sh4_effects_gwx_21_204e

3. Rbs4Sbootzones
This is a JSGME ready folder that contains zones.cfg file that will make this mod compatible with SBOOT MOD. Enable this AFTER you enabled SBOOT MOD and this mod.
4. Rbs5EffectsLITE (NOT STANDALONE)
THIS IS A LITE VERSION OF THIS MOD. IT IS JSGME READY. IT REDUCES THE SIZE OF THE MATERIALS.DAT AND PARTICLE.DAT AS WELL AS THE SIZE OF TEXTURES TO A ACCEPTABLE SIZE. ACCEPTABLE FOR SLOWER COMPS. IN 90% OF TIMES YOU WILL NOT NOTTICE THE DIFFERENCE. BUT IT IS NOT STANDALONE!!!!! YOU HAVE TO ENABLE IT AFTER THE MAIN FOLDER- THAT MEANS AFTER YOU ENABLE Rbs1_SH4_Effects_GWX_21_204e!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. Rbs6LRT2.02
This is a JSGME ready folder that you can enable AFTER Rbs1_SH4_Effects_GWX_21_204e AND Longer Repair Times v2.02 Final mod. That will make this two mods compatible.
ALSO IF YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH Longer Repair Times v2.02 Final mod AND LIFEBOATS MOD, YOU JUST ENABLE THIS JSGME FOLDER Rbs8LRT2.02
WITH OFCOURSE JSGME(AFTER ALL OF THE MENTIONED MODS) AND IT WILL MAKE BOTH MODS COMPATIBLE TO Rbs1_SH4_Effects_GWX_21_204e!
8. Rb79regularzone
This folder contains zones.cfg if you don’t like oil explosion and want to play without it.
NOTE 1:
When you install this mod, many mods have some sort of tex folders, JSGME will say it's
allready been done by some other mod(if there is such a mod enabled with tex subfolder you
enabled), don't worry, from my experience these files enabled with jsgme won't kill anything
unless you miraclelously(right spelling?) have those files in another way and they are used
by some other mod. PLEASE: DO AS I DID, DISABLE ALL MODS AND MAKE A NEW FOLDER NAMED TEX IN TNORMAL FOLDER SO THAT JSGME DOWSN’T CONFLICT MODS ANYMORE ON THIS ISSUE.
