File Name: GWX 2 Sliding Stations Panel. Version 1a (269.9 KB) Download

Description
GWX 2 Sliding Stations Panel. Version 1a:

a) Fixed problem with the Leer.tga file was draggable (now isn't) and its position has been altered to fit and look more pleasing!
NOTE: A second Leer.tga file supplied if you prefer it.

b) Moved the Sliding Stations Panel lower as it left a thin line at the bottom visable in the Nav Map screen.

c) Another thing that annoyed me was the Nav Maps auto scroll feature, has now been removed,(section 11) since the map is draggable there is no need for the scrolling (IMO) especially when moving the mouse below to get the Stations Panel up, certainly do not want the map scrolling as well!

d) Transparent Background fixed (see step 11).

First Thanks to FLB Sale U-999 & anyone else who may have contributed!
The Leer.tga & Bkgr.tga supplied are the best files I could find for the job (Many Thanks to their creators!)
Simply place in the appropriate folder, if you don't like the Menubar Icons I created then take em out!! However if you do I recommend CAPTAIN AMERICA'S - 'OFFICER ICON MOD' (CA_Officer_Icon_MoD), should be available to download from http://u-boot.realsimulation.com, this is a match for my Menubar Icons!

This all started when I installed Jonz's excellent Large Recognition Manual, and found that the lower half of the manual was covered over by the Stations Panel. I like the old bar as is, but just wanted it to slide away!!

1) Open your Menu_1024_768.ini (data/Menu Folder). *** Backup your original first ***

2) Increase the sliding Speed, at the top of the file, from original 200 to 2000. (You can change this to suit yourself.)

[Settings]
SlidingSpeed=2000; pixels per second

3) Now find block [G3F I33] & Replace with:

[G3F I33]
Name=Slideout Konsole
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F0C0000
ParentID=0x3F000000
Pos=0,141,1024,140; Original Pos=0,141,670,140
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
VertSlide=-130

4) Find & Replace [G3F I34] Block with the following:

[G3F I34]
Name=Group feedback
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F010000
ParentID=0x3F0C0000; Original ParentID=0x3F000000
Pos=691,-12,330,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF

5) Find & Replace [G3F I89] Block with the following:

[G3F I89]
Name=Group officers
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F030000
ParentID=0x3F0C0000; Original ParentID=0x3F000000
Pos=0,-12,281,130; Original Pos=0,131,281,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF

6) Find & Replace [G3F I138] Block with the following:

[G3F I138]
Name=Group msg top bar
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F120000
ParentID=0x3F0C0000
Pos=284,-12,404,22
Color=0xFFFFFFFF

7) Find & Replace [G3F I148] Block with the following:

[G3F I148]
Name=Group messages
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F040000
ParentID=0x3F0C0000; Original ParentID=0x3F000000
Pos=283,-12,406,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF

8) Now find the last block in your G31 Group! (This Group is responsible for the Small area below the Navigation Screen).
Insert this Block with your own "IXXX +1" Number there. (eg if last Block for Group G31 is [G31 I20] then the following XXX=21or [G31 I21]).
Note: If this Block already exists then this installation of this block is not needed, however make sure Drag=false or the leer will slide around in the map screens.

[G31 IXXX]
Name=Target;Neuer Eintrag für Transparentmod Leer.tga
Type=1031;Stat bmp array
ItemID=0x31000006
ParentID=0x31000000
Pos=0,130,1024,130; Original Pos=0,112,1024,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
Materials=1
Display=2;Linear
Mat 0=data/Menu/Gui/Layout/Leer.tga
Crop 0=0,0,1,1
MatFlags=0x9
TexFmt=0x9
Drag=false; Original Drag=true
BmpState=1
NeedFocus=true
SelOne=true
IdGroup=0
StatesColors=0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF

9) Now find the following 4 blocks in your G31 Group! (This Group is responsible for the Nav Map auto scrolling - If you still want this feature then simply skip this section), search for "Name=Scroll xxxxxx" (eg xxxxx=bottom).
Delete these 4 Blocks and replace with with the following:

[G31 IXX]
Name=Scroll bottom
Type=1030;Static bmp
ItemID=0x31000004
ParentID=0x3F000000; Original ParentID=0x31000000
Pos=5,6,689,40
Color=0xFFFFFF00
Materials=1
Display=2;Linear
Mat 0=data/menu/gui/layout/bkgr.tga
MatFlags=0x1
TexFmt=0x9

[G31 IXX]
Name=Scroll right
Type=1030;Static bmp
ItemID=0x31000003
ParentID=0x3F000000; Original ParentID=0x31000000
Pos=1004,768,60,638
Color=0xFFFFFF00
Materials=1
Display=2;Linear
Mat 0=data/menu/gui/layout/bkgr.tga
MatFlags=0x1
TexFmt=0x9

[G31 IXX]
Name=Scroll top
Type=1030;Static bmp
ItemID=0x31000002
ParentID=0x3F000000; Original ParentID=0x31000000
Pos=0,808,679,60
Color=0xFFFFFF00
Materials=1
Display=2;Linear
Mat 0=data/menu/gui/layout/bkgr.tga
MatFlags=0x1
TexFmt=0x9

[G31 IXX]
Name=Scroll left
Type=1030;Static bmp
ItemID=0x31000001
ParentID=0x3F000000; Original ParentID=0x31000000
Pos=-45,286,60,156
Color=0xFFFFFF00
Materials=1
Display=2;Linear
Mat 0=data/menu/gui/layout/bkgr.tga
MatFlags=0x1
TexFmt=0x9

10) Also if you want to adjust the Group shortcuts find the following Block (Search for "Name=Group shortcuts") & change the HorizSlide=-30 to HorizSlide=-54 this will hide the Bar totally instead of partially showing!

[G3F IXX]
Name=Group shortcuts
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F020000
ParentID=0x3F000000
Pos=-1,761,56,474
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
HorizSlide=-54

11) Replace bkgr.tga line to bkgr2.tga in the following blocks:
[G3F I87, 188, 191, 137, 147, 153].
(eg: Mat 0=data/menu/gui/layout/bkgr2.tga)

The external view should be of a full screen for gameplay (can take a snapshot without menu's etc showing)

That's it, Make Sure to save your work!! Have tested with & without the Hi-Res mod & all seems ok.

Cheers, Reece.

Note: if you want the background Black instead of Transparent then simply remove the supplied Bkgr.tga file prior to installationAlso if you don't want my shortcuts bar the remove that as well.

Hi Reece, sorry to hit you up with a very basic question but I cannot find an answer elsewhere. I've only recently discovered Silent Hunter and found that I was able to install the Steam version of SH3 using Wineskin on my 2011 Macbook Pro. I'm loving the Subsim gameplay but would love to turn of the hot-edges on the map as they constantly move me around when simply trying to reach the normal controls. They really seem of little use at all actually. I see the code to disable this in your article above but I don't know how to find the menu_1024_768.ini file to make the changes. I guess I'm missing something really basic here so appolz for my Noobfulness and thanks if you have time to assist, sincerely Watsi
