Description
Harbour Traffic mod 1.47 update and RUb 1.45 compatible version.
This mod is a 'add on' for Silent Hunter III to increase the immersion feeling in the game with great historical accuracy.
News, changes and fix in this 1.47 version:
- More 22 ports with traffic: Brioni, Trieste, Istanbul, Odessa, Sevastopol, Feodosia, Kerch, Rostov-on-Don, Novorossiysk, Batum, Cape Town, Freetown, Galveston, Curacao, Port of Spain, Merthyr, Bristol, Portsmouth, Dover, Southend on Sea, Hartlepool and Firth of Forth.
- A complete new scenario for Black Sea (30th flotilla) operations (new nations, new traffic, new harbours).
- New nation: RSI (Reppublica Sociale Italiana) - see the text inside (.doc and .pdf). There are a lot of historical info for RSI and Black Sea scenario. A must "readme" feature!
- New nations: Bulgaria and Yugoslavia (for stand alone version only - RUb already have them).
- New german unit: Vorpostenboot, for escort and patrol duties.
- Italian Soldati DD reworked: now it have sensors, weapons and deep charges.
- A new workaround on the flotilla.cfg to better fit the milk cow feature of the mod and to allow the player to meet some historical operations, bypassing the stock SH3 bug with dates and grids in the career mode.
- A simple new way to play with milk cow without change anything in the basic.cfg file (daysinbase). So no more problems with dates and grids. SH3Cmdr is needed.
- Some small corrections on traffic, departure places and Admiral Hipper Class deployment.
- The trap containers are now disable. They are another unfinish feature by the devs. (...data\Sea\CargoDef.cfg)
- Radio calls now in german too.
- New flags for new nations.
- New colors on small numbers for color blind peoples like me.
- New infos on the F1 help screen with new buttons. A slight adjust on the milkcow dates.
- Full integration with FLB's Navmap mod. A map with geographical names are also disposable on the ...data\Terrain\Maps\Map1\FLB_map_4320_2160.raw. Just rename it to "4320_2160.raw".
- Sergei PTboats mod fully integrated. Take care now with the enemy Ptboats...
- Fix the long range weapons for the KGV
- Added darker recognition manual's covers with flags. (stand alone only, RUb already have them)
- New harbour shape for La Spezia (historically La Spezia never had subpens)
- No more start on subpen at Kiel. Historically the subpen at Kiel only was available after the mid war. But don't hurry you will use the subpens a lot on french harbours...
- chomu's Integrated Orders v.1.01 mod already update for HT 1.47 and ready to install
- chomu's depth chart mod. Now you can estimate the depth of any sea point on the nav map!
============================
Special features for both versions:
1.Option without minefield and subnets:
-Delete your Campaign_SCR.mis file then just rename the HT147_noMine_Campaign_SCR.mis (or HT147_RuB_noMine_Campaign_SCR.mis) to Campaign_SCR.mis
2.New simple Milk Cow way for 'days in base' with SH3Cmdr:
Just play the game as it is (daysinbase=28) and only when you dock at a milk cow unit changes the "days in base" for 1 via SH3Cmdr, then restart and play the game. Later when you dock at home base just set the "days in base" to 28 again (using SH3Cmdr). Restart and play the game (via SH3Cmdr). Make this every time you dock at a milk cow unit (15 to 30% of an entire career). This way no more problems with dates and grids, no more needed to changes the emblems!
3.Chomu's Integrated Orders v.1.01 mod already update for HT 1.47 and ready to install. Look for it in the documentation folder of the HT mod, then copy the ones of your preference to your MODS folder (JSGME ready) and "enable" it!

==============================
To install:
Just install using JSGME over the top of your SH3 installation.
Restart your last patrol on port.
(If you have some trouble just install over a fresh SH3 installation and start a new career)

==============================
Recommendations (these are only suggestions, not really necessary to run the mod):
-You must read the RSI/Black Sea historical document inside the documentation folder(.doc and .pdf). A set of great historical photos and excellent info! A great work by Scirč.
-To a real milk cow experience just delete or rename this file at SH3Cmdr: ...SH3Commander install folder...\Date\19420401\data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat7c \NSS_Uboat7c.sim. This file adds a unreal amount of fuel to VIIC uboat to simulate a milk cow. You don't need this any more.
-If you are using the original airpower mod, uninstall it first and install this new airpower mod version (after install HT mod) inside the download file (for HT standalone only).
-I highly recommend that you also download and install the "Uboat reflections v2.0 with cable fix" mod by sergbuto and Flakwalker. Link: http://rapidshare.de/files/6995438/U...blefix.7z.html (RUb already have it)
-This version already have a fixed stock radio messages with the new radio calls. Sixx_Killer also adds the new messages call into the last 'lite' version of irishred's radiolog mod. So just rename it to messages_en.txt if you want. It is in the campaigns\campaign folder. Search also for new radio calls in german in the same folder.
-Kriller2 and oRGy had done a nice job with AA searchlights. I don't use them in the HT mod because all land units have a positional bug with external cameras in the game. It's a SH3 stock bug. But if you don't use external cameras this is a 'must have' mod. See this thread:
http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopi...5016&highlight=
-To enable the Emblems since the beginning of a career, just change these two lines on your Basic.cfg file:
FirstRankRenown=1000 ==> 100
SecondRankRenown=3500 ==> 350
The new upcoming SH3Cmdr also will have this feature.
-Don't forget: inside of the documentation folder you will find the map of the milk cow units, maps of the minefields&subnets of german ports, RSI/Black Sea historical info, the readme files and chomu's Integrated Orders mod!
===============================
Important issues:
-SH3 don't save the waypoints of the scripted units near the player's uboat (ships, uboats and airplanes). So, don't save in populate areas like enemy and friendly harbours, the British canal, etc (later when you reload the ships lost theirs waypoints and will go aground...).
-Dolphins are a unfinished feature in the stock game. Sergei "sergbuto" achieve to put wakes, splash and movement on them. But they don't follow waypoints, don't have the "delete on last waypoint" property. These issues limit the possibilities to plot them correctly on the campaign file. But, even with these flaws, if you are a luck man you will see them...
-After dock at a milk cow unit and restart, your patrol you receive a 'NULL' as a destination patrol grid. This is a SH3 fault. So just take note of your grid destination before dock at a milk base (notice that this is true for any other Axis base; like I said, this happens even if you don't use the milk mod - just dock at another german base and see by yourself)
-SH3 have another stock annoying bug related to the dates and grids on the saved games at home base. So, when you are at home base only exit before makes the upgrades (equipments). This way when you later restart (reload) the game at home base all will goes right. Makes the desire upgrades and go ahead.
-When you return some days/weeks later to your home base or arrive at any other harbour, frequently you will see the docked units out of their original positions and sometimes even burning or smoking. This is a old SH3 stock bug, even the docked ships move at a slow rate along the days. No fix until now.
-Chomu's depth chart mod (I only use the pencil marker with the colour depth column): if you don't like it just rename and replace the "orig_pencil.tga" to "pencil.tga" in the ...data\Menu\MouseCurs folder. This mod adds a colour deep column in the right side of the pencil mark to help you to find the depth of that point. It's not very precise but is really useful. Also notice that the stock .tga for nav map is "durty" and this can change a bit the colours artificially.
