Requirements: SH IV version 1.4

Installation: After unzipping, copy PimpMyRide II folder to mods folder in SH IV directory and then use JSGME to acivate mod.

Changes from Stock SH IV Version 1.4:

This mod changes the start date for The Balao class fleet boat to the begining of the war from both Hawaii and Manila bases in campaign mode for the years 1941,1942, and 1943.

The boat comes standard with SD and SJ radar. It also sports four 5"25 deck guns with 350 Low trajectory HE rounds each! All four deck guns will fire at surface targets.

Boat sits lower in water.

Surface speed increased to 23 knots. An elite crew will make her go even faster.

Max operating depth redline set to 165 meters.

Crush depth is classified.

SHip surface range increased to 18,000 miles @ 10 knots.

Ship comes equiped with special LazyBoy Engine Telegraph.

IE: Ring up 1/3 speed submerged and go 2 knots for optimum Battery life. Ring up 2/3s on the surface and go 10 knots for optimum fuel consumption which is also best speed to recharge the batteries.
Ship as a whole will take 20% more damage. All that surface action tends to put a bit of ware on the boat .)

Pimp My Ride II:

Boat crush depth set to 299 meters. (IE. She will go to 208 meters before starting to take accumulated damage.)

Reduced the chance Diesel engines will be Completely destroyed.

Gun crew AI will now fire at 6000 meters the same as enemy AI.

50 star shells added per gun mount. Shells will detonate at 2200 meters.
Ammo increased to 400 from 350 HE shells per gun.

Shell tracers lenghtened and colors changed.

Deckgun flash softened.

Deckgun minimum range in scope changed to 200m from 500m.

Deckgun elevation speed doubled.

Deckgun elevation and azimuth will now move when game is paused.

Deckgun scope now has four zooms. 1x 2x 4x 8x. Was 1x 2x 4x.

Attack periscope now has four zooms. 1x 2x 4x 8x. was 1x 4x.

This mod incorporates my Torpex Torpedoes mod(see coresponding Torpex
Torpedo read me) in addition it also changes the starting date of the MK 16 and Mk 27 (cutie) to begining of the war. The mark 16 has a torpex warhead and acts like it. The warhead is equivelant to 1,414 tons of TNT. That is more than two times the explosive of the early war MK 14.

Webster's Ship Manuvering fix: (see seperate readme) less the sound component. This is set up for the playable Balao only.

2d display sHELLS and torpedoes color changed per Castorp345's mod.

Issues:

Although you can man 3 of the four deck guns, the only one to have a scope is the forward gun.

Still not a good match for the Convoy from Hell! They wiped the floor with me the first time with only one hit. Must have been a high caliber shell. Now I'm swimmin' with the fishies!

my firt post-one of my firt mods.it's great to start this game with little "help".but with this mode i can't se the torpedo trail when i fire it. why is that? help?
