Just installed SCXIIC. Played a mission. To my horror, my towed array cable got cut whenever my speed exceed 25kt. It never happened before i install the MOD. Is it supposed to be like that, or just a bug?

smrtwhkd,

I don't have SC installed right now but I remmber there was a TA
break speed. I guess you switch to your other TA.
With DW its 40 kts with Seawolf 688(I) and Akulas does not break
at Max speed, I don't think it's a bug check you manual should be
a chart there somplace. Hope this mite help

I always retract it above 20kts.Why is the floating wire so fragile? It seems to break at very slow speeds.

is there any way to do away with the TA break speed thing? it's just kinda annoying, especially when u want to sprint at top speed.

It's all about pretending you're the captain of the boat...not about this game is too hard.

The TA breaking was one of the best tactical enhancements made by the SCX team.

I am not afraid of the difficulty. I just wonder if it's a reality for TA to snap at high speed. Someone mentioned the that TA break speed is different in DW, so there is obviously some discrepancy here.

688(I) Stbd warning 26 knots Fail 29 knots
Port "" 22 Knots Fail 25 knots

SSN-21 Stbd warning 26 Knots Fail 29 knots
Port Warning 20 knots Fail 23 knots

Akula Warning 28 knots Fail 31 knots.

These came off the site but I don't remember where, been out a long time and they warn and fail exactly at the speeds listed.
