A beta of version 1.03 is now available.

To opt in to the beta:
Right click the Cold Waters in Steam library, go to properties and you should have new "BETAS" tab added, then use the pulldown to select the beta you would like to opt into -leave the early access code empty- and the new update should download. When you run the game the version number should read version 1.01.

Any assistance to verify these fixes are working will be appreciated.
Would also like confirmation from Mac users that it is working fine.

Please use this thread to comment on the beta features, testing result, any issues you come across.

Full in-game unit reference linked to Signature tab.
Soviet mast textures fixed
Kotlin now uses the newly added wp_sm2_shell naval guns.

Changes to Default File Structure and Contents
Several changes to the default folder file structure were made which will impact mods and localisations which have edited these files.

default/weapons.txt - removed weapon names and weapon description fields. Added wp_sm2_shell for Kotlin class.

language_en/dictionary/dictionary_interface.txt - added new variables
ReferenceSonar=Sonar
ReferenceRadar=Radar
ReferenceActive=Active
ReferencePassive=Passive
ReferenceTowed=Towed

ReferenceVeryQuiet=Very Quiet
ReferenceSemiQuiet=Semi-Quiet
ReferenceQuiet=Quiet
ReferenceSemiNoisy=Semi-Noisy
ReferenceNoisy=Noisy
ReferenceVeryNoisy=Very Noisy
FrequencyAbbreviated=Flanguage_en/sensors/sensors.txt - restructured the entire file to:

Yes. Look at the steam store. It's not in early access stage.

Yes, indeed...

The main game is very stable, it's just the patches that are getting released, initially, as betas, to add more features, fix bugs etc...

You do not need to install the beta patches...you can wait, and they will become official (non beta) patches as they are tested and debugged...

Buttons for just about every keystroke
Speed toggle for campaign strategic map
Voices for message log
Towed array displayed in 3D, ability to extend and withdraw

Are they coming in 1.03 as well or are they coming in future patches?

Would like to know as well. I trust them when they say they are coming but would like to have at least an idea when.

Especially the control options. Seems to be some rethinking now how this is going to be implemented.

Check your override folder, specifically your weapons.txt, it may be outdated. The new 1.03 version has some major changes, including to the Kotlin's guns. If your running a mod that alters weapons.txt, you need to remove or update it to a 1.03 compatible version. The same thing happened to me btw.

Hi, when I go into properties, all I see is betas-
When I click on that, I have no option to choose which beta I want.
Is it automatic?

Once you select beta it should give you the most current beta.

Yea, it was a mod that was doing it. Removed the override folder and it works as intended.

Updated game, but I dont see Recognition Manual button. I know it supposed to be on top right corner, tho start window shows me V1.03.

I havent 1.03 but as I read it work if You take signatures and recognize the ship.

If you resized your HUD in options, that may have moved the icon off the screen. The developers know about this, so it should be on their list to fix soon.

In YOUR "Library" (listing) of Steam games. I R-clicked on the Cold Waters name in the left panel and a window opened. I chose "Beta" and it downloaded. I have 1.03b now.

My boat doesn't have a "library" so I was just not...

We just released 1.03b.

To opt in to future betas:

Why can't the mods be put in the download section here...This way those of us whom are not as smart as others can download them without having to jump thru hoops and ring bells???:damn::mad:I tried the ways that krillerfish recommended and no way it will work...

This is a game update, not a mod. There's no way to host that here.

Have they managed to fixed the right mouse button camera drag issue yet when you tab out of the game or use the steam overlay.

i.e if you tab out of the window or open the steam overlay when you return to coldwaters the mouse camera control no longer works!

as its pretty damn annoying
