I thought that the chronometer of stock was too large.:o
Then, I made the chronometer of 75% size.
Please refer to the following, when you edit manually.

UP!
The size of a red needle was fitted.(red-needle's y-size is 50%)

File location: Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Menu\
file: menu_1024_768.ini
The value of 'Zone' of [G29 I2] to [G29 I15] is made 75%.
ex)
original
Zone= 412 768 312 300 0 1 0x29000000 1 0 0x29020000 -1 0 -300 0

change
Zone= 412 768 234 225 0 1 0x29000000 1 0 0x29020000 -1 0 -300 0

and red-needle's y-size is 50%
[G29 I8]
Zone= 564 603 8 60 0 1 0x29020007 0.5 -0.5 0x29020004 -0.5 0.5 0 0
[G29 I9]
Zone= 565 573 6 40 0 1 0x29020007 0.5 -0.5 0x29020005 -0.5 0.5 0 0

Great work Chomu:up:
I was too thinking that the chrono was alittle bit "too much"
Will go for your changes my self or is the file compatible with patch 1.1?

OMG this tweak will definately hurt Neal his ego :D

You should also reduce the size of the red needle, as it goes outside the dial and is too large. I reduced it by half and it looks perfect now.

Maybe he can increase the size of Neal's name on the smaller watch face. :rotfl:

Chomu... any plans to alter the size of the needle and update? It does look quite oversized in that screenie.

I'd definitely like to get this one.

Do you plan on releasing another version with the second hand resized to fit?....or at least show us which lines to modify and by how much.

Nix that request for a smaller red needle. It seems the original doesn't work and I've been getting the oversized one even on the vanilla Chrono.

Great job!

Hi Chumo.
I have a conflict with your mod and the tools mod (that releases real estate on the charts). I can only have one or the other,,,,,never the twain shall meet,,,,Any advice ?

They probably are in the same file, so you will wan to take the no tools modded file, and manually mod the mini-watch in it.

chomu,
you made a change to menu_1024_768.ini Where to find? Because of conflict,I want to edit manualy.

RetroNavMapTools - Jiims NavMapTools - Aces Colored Menu Bar (Combined) (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=109170) will not work with, Mini Chronometer (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=108917) & visaversa,
in jsgme. Never mind I just read your first post again.:oops:

That thing is a royal PITA, any fix for that? Plus I cant see how the thing works, when I launch the torps the thing has already been counting tomething and the red needle is not set correct. The whole thing is screwy??

It works, but there are two red needles. The seconds needle is HUGE, while the minutes needle is small enough that it will probably be covered by the seconds indicator.

You can time two different things at once on the watch in SH4, but it's still a lot more annoying than the simple stopwatch in SH3.

I asked a higher authority to Mod this,if all else fails you can enable it in commands bar,& drag it almost off screen,workaround.

I hate to bump this old post but I'm new here & to this game. I installed this mini-chrono mod because I hate the giant one. I have found that the mod doesn't work in V.1.3 (0x41270006 not found). I tried narrowing it down by opening both cfg files side by side (the original & the mod) & copy-paste changing it but I was only partially successful; the outside was smaller but the center of the face was still giant square :D

Has anyone made this work? If so, how? I really want this mod to complete my changes.

I wondered what happened to this, Leo?

If I must, I may just open both side by side again & re-write as much as it takes to get it right. I have zero clue what I'm doing really; I just change what I see that's different & check in the game to see what happened but I saw progress on my first attempt so I know I was going the correct direction, however slowly it was :oops:

I'll just wait for 1.4. I'm not losing any of the other mods when I install the mini-chrono,the game just won't run with it installed. I don't want to uninstall then reinstall everything just to use JSGME when all I am lacking is the chrono mod.

Help! I'm looking for the smaller watch mod (chronometer) but all the links in post #1 are broken.
Where can I get the smaller watch mod?

Thanks Moonlight but I was looking for the smaller watch mod. Not necessarily a replacement watch.
Basically the one 'advertised' in the first post. :up:
I'll do a little lookin' around myself, I guess.

I might be able to cook one up for you... reverse-engineered one to be bigger for myself so it shouldn't be a problem.
(You'll get the same one as TMO)

You're running Stock.. do you use GFO with it, better yet... give me you Mod list so I can check what menu_1024 to use.

I'm prolly not be in rest of the weekend so I'll be start working on it on Sunday afternoon.

I made a thread about making the chrono smaller somewhere, here it is http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=178087 so if you want to get stuck in and do some modding go right ahead, its 100% compatible with the stock game. :D

BINGO! Got it. Thanks, Moonlight. :salute:
