I should probably add that to UnRealUBoat, but my link to my home network is down at the moment.

Sigh.

I turned off crew fatigue but as I reported in another thread the Watch Crew still gets fatigued. Crew fatigue worked for all hands previous to 1.4b.

I have to dive every so often (if I encounter a long period between submerged attacks) and let them rest at 32x TC for a few minutes to allow the 5 hands on watch to recover their stamina.

Why not just buy another watch qualification? Then you shouldn't have to care about watch crew fatigue. In fact I'm confused as to why you'd need to rest a watch crew at all. Don't all the standard game's crew loadouts give you two watch qualifications? Surely that should give you a watch that never gets below full efficiency even when all the watch crew are fully fatigued. Why rest them at all?

I think the vast majority of players are getting all hung up on the wrong issues when it comes to crew management. Fatigue doesn't matter. Compartment efficiency is the only important consideration. If players get obsessed with fatigue, they will make a lot of work for themselves for no reason. Often there is no need to rest a crew.

Hi!

You need to recover the default BASIC.CFG file (found in the ...data/cfg folder) that you had before you installed RUb. It has all the fatigue settings. Modify the fatigue variables back the way they were before Real U-boat (RUb) modifications.

If you didn't save a copy of the default BASIC.CFG before installing RUb 1.42, and you didn't use the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME) or some other mechanism to back out changes after installing an unsatisfactory modification, then your best bet may be to uninstall and then re-install SH3, patch to V1.4, and then save a copy of the resulting BASIC.CFG file somewhere. Personally, I would recommend using JSGME since it backs up all the files to be modified before replacing them. You can get JSGME in the SH3 file library section under "!MUST_HAVE - Essential Files For SH3" at http://u-boot.realsimulation.com

Examine the fatigue-related variables in the default BASIC.CFG using Wordpad or some other text editor (all fatigue variables have "fatigue" in their names) and then change the values in the RUb version to match the old default values. You could just use the old default BASIC.CFG files to overwrite the RUb version, but there are some other edits as part of RUb that you would lose if you just overwrote the file.

Would you be so kind to supply me with the original basic cgf file , or at least a copy if the fatigue values?
