Submitted this to a big german gaming news paper/page. I hope they will release it in their news.

Actually this is the correct kickstarter link:

Since you failed to have a special link in the forum here and this REALLY needs to have a separate topic:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1655728789

Also not sure how smart it is to put this up in Swedish Kronas, either way... all the best. Backed!

Thank you for pointing this out, I will try to make this thread stick to the top. I was also not aware that the pledge levels were displayed in kronor for everyone. I will look into this. Thank you for your support!

Apparently the currency is always linked to the origin of the campaign. However, backers based in the US will also see each project's goal displayed in USD even if the project is based outside of the US.

Unfortunately i only saw it in Swedish Kronas, and i'm from Switzerland. I also changed my original post to be only about facts ;)

Thank you so much! It would be awesome if they picked up on it. I have tried to reach out to German players a bit, but it is hard since i dont have any German contacts :)

Please, do not lose sight of the fact a ship have a crew. The captian does not get to single-handedly man it all. Turning wheels and pushing levers is fine and all but please dont forget that a ship is never a one man affair; there's always a dedicated crew around.

By all means let the player push and turn any and all controls there is but don't fall pray to the trap where the player have to do it all. Once again, remember, there's a trained crew onboard the ship. Let the player push as many buttons as they want for sure; djust dont make it so the player have to do it all by himself.

ty. carry on.

tempa, no worries, this game relies on the crew (other players) to operate smoothly.

I've emailed the crew at Good Game: a popular Aussie Video game review show on free to air TV.

Hope it's not late. They also do a daily youtube show so maybe it'll get a mention on that.:hmm2:

If Mulruken doesnt become realized we could use two guys to do the multiplayer side of things too :har:

We've actually considered this though. We'll see how the campaign goes.

I don't understand why you chose German vs USA.

Yeah, I would love to work on a US fleet boat sim, but there is a much larger demand for U-boats. Let's make this game a success and I will definitely be thinking about USS Tang and USS Harder for future projects.:yep:

So , this will be like developing silent hunter games but you will have major imput into game development ? A dream come true or what ?

USS harder? I havnt heard about this what did I miss.

If you two need help I've got a bunch of friends for art and code and navy advisors and of course myself. Throw a line keep in contact that's my motto in the game dev business. We're currently busy picking our jaws up off the floor but would love to see a real indie sub sim come to life and bring the casual players back.

Very interesting and exciting times. Don't forget UBOOT met their goal

So , this will be like developing silent hunter games but you will have major imput into game development ? A dream come true or what ?

Im just guessing and this is all neutral but the cost of bandwidth on subsim is minimal and donations frequent I would imagine a decent bankroll that could pay two devs for a decent amount of time, I wont guess figures thats rude IMO but know a bit about how it works. Silent Hunter? Getting to that level is a HUGE amount of work. Even two computer science graduates working full time one a great progarmmer (i snuck a look at the unity code in reflector) and a good artist, would take ages to get to silent hunter levels.
Edit: Ages, in the current state of sub sims from major companies with the bankroll would actually be extremely short, we've been modding SH3 for 15 years when you think about it.

Major input into the game development cycle. Heck yes, I'm working for free and taking every note, every post, and every "dream simulator" thread I can find in my business and game design documents. /

Too long didnt read: Like developing silent hunter: no, but I could see a HMS: M - Uboat edition by the end of summer probably.

I think the subsim partnership and changes in direction for this project are wonderful news. I eagerly await piloting my type VIIc with my friends and am thrilled that the project has the backing it needs to be completed.

Looks like win/win to me!
