Koralle 1.0.0 BETA 2
Silent Hunter II/Destroyer Command
Scenario Editor by Andy Bouffard
First for the history lesson… why call this application “Koralle”? According to the glossary of the Silent Hunter II manual, Koralle was the code name given to Admiral Doenitz‘s headquarters in Berlin from December ’43 till February ’45. Since Doenitz, as BdU, was the cornerstone of the planning and initiation of missions, it seemed appropriate to name this naval scenario editor after one of his headquarters.
Koralle is a scenario editor. It enables you to open, edit and save or create new scenario definition files (sdf)for use with Silent Hunter II and Destroyer Command. It will not create random scenarios, nor is it a dynamic in-game scenario generator. Now I know this software is flawed, but in the absence of anything else, I’m throwing it out there in the hopes that you use it, find it helpful, and are kind enough to provide me feedback on how I can make it better in the future.
As for the future, there will be bugs to fix and enhancements to make. I hope to get new and better versions of this application released periodically, dependent on the rest of my life! In conjunction with the excellent work that I am sure others, particularly HerrBaron (Projekt Messerwetzer), are undertaking, the Silent Hunter II and Destroyer Command audience should have a lot to look forward to.

Koralle Release Notes
This document will serve as a history of changes made at each release of Koralle.
In the future, should anyone find a bug, please send me as much information as possible about how you first encountered the problem, whether you can reliably duplicate the problem, what steps are required to duplicate it, and any sdf file required to duplicate it or that illustrates it.
Installation Notes--Koralle has still not been tested against Windows ’98 or ME. It is recommended that Koralle only be installed on Windows NT, 2000, or XP machines.
Beta 2 – 2/23/03
Support for non-US locales (namely, Europe). Fixes issues with differing decimal characters and date formats used outside the US.
Installer creates a shortcut to the pdf manual. Makes it easier for new users to find the help doc.
Zoom in and out tools work with a fixed scale change on a single mouse click. Using these tools now allows single click zoom in and out, as well as the current method of drawing a box with these tools.
Added Ultimation copyright mention in About box. Oversight on my part, sorry Mark/Ultimation.
Disabled the edit briefing button in the scenario tab until a scenario is created/loaded. Prevents an error if this button is clicked prematurely.
Added Preprocess and DrawOvlyText properties to scenario tab.
Added Multiselect to units. Can now be found on a unit’s More Unit Details form.
Added DB to the abbreviation list. Assume this stands for “Dive Bomber”. Also made sure HB and SC appear as airplanes in the editor.
Fixed saving and restoring of mutexan. Also changed caption of tab from “Muti” to “Mutexan”.
Fixed the 380 error that appeared whenever the application was started after the user had closed the application with a minimized map window.
Addition of this file to the install.
Beta 1 – 12/04/02 – Initial Release
