Reminds me of a small book I read when I was about...oh...must have been eleven, twelve...it was entitled 'The future: War' and it said about how the main three groups of the future will be:
Grunts
Geeks and
Crazies

Grunts, being your standard battlefield soldiers, trained with arm held computers, able to fight in virtually any conditions...employing radar linkups to see the enemy out of sight.
Geeks, being hackers and computer specialists, trained to infiltrate enemy computer systems and wreak havoc, or control the complex computerised weapons of their own side.
Crazies being fanatics...and I doubt they need much in the way of introduction.

:hmm:

I subscribe to the “Space: Above and Beyond” school of future combat. All that advanced technology means jack **** when you are face to face with the enemy, at that point you would gladly trade all those computers and sensors for a good K-Bar knife.
