I live in the mid north of South Australia and the heatwave coming is rather worrying!!
Sunday 35 Monday 39 Tuesday 42 Wednesday 44 Thursday 46 (115F) Gasp!! Friday 45 Everything up here is bone dry, thankfully we are surrounded by harvested farm land, just stubble but fire can race through that quite easily. Not looking forward to this at all. ![]()

Oh man
Here we have 4-6 degrees daytime and just above zero night time with a strong wind, which makes it feel a lot colder. Back to your country. I'm happy I do not live in Australia during those temperatures I feel very unhappy when our temperature reach 25 or above. Markus |

The climate is definitely changing, NSW and Queensland have been battling fires for the last month, now Queensland gets hit by a flood, 125mm in just over an hour, weird!!

I've family dotted around Australia, New Zealand and even Tasmania. They have been telling me for over five years now how the weather is definitely changing.

Often you'd see Strathalbyn with a recorded high of 43 degrees (or whatever) The weather box was by the post office, on a nicely irrigated lawn, under a big weeping willow by the river. However, travel a mere 2km out of town to the open plains, and you're in the low 50's. Hot days I can handle. It's the hot nights that suck. |

Feel your pain Reece. I'm in Melbourne and don't have to deal with temps like that but with the concrete jungle looking to hit 30+ over next few days and insufficient cooling at home it's going to be a tough start to summer.
I've definitely noticed the climate shift. Seasonally the weather patterns seem to be shifting about a month ahead, though last year it's either been stinking hot (Mid to late Jan till end of May) or cold (June-December) and I can't recall the last time the weathers done that in my lifetime. We need to move on climate now, not in 20+ years once the Government has shifted to people more inclined to do something. |

It was on the news day before yesterday.
Here in Denmark an old record seems likely to be beaten. 2019 could very well be the wettest year since the Danish Meteorological Institute started measuring weather in 1870-something. Markus |

Here, the temperature peak had to hold for a set amount of time before it was recorded. Now, it's recorded instantly, even if it's only at that temperature for a few seconds. Also, low temps aren't being recorded properly. It was discovered that the equipment used to record the temperatures has limits that are exceeded by actual temperatures, so they were just "guesstimated". Their excuse was that "it couldn't possibly get that cold anyway". People started sending in their pictures of creeks and dams frozen solid, ice and snow....... only to hear crickets chirping. |
