Default TF Capital Ships Behavior_Testing

I need few commanders for a quick testing of AI behavior in two separate missions...


After you enable the mod with JSGME , in your Historical missions will appear two separate missions with , at first glance, identical TF (1A/1B TF Capital Ships Behavior_Testing).
Make a few runs in both missions. Use flank speed until TF detect your presence, then dive deep and monitor capital ships behavior with external camera.

Then, come back here and please tell me in which mission you've find more realistic TF behavior and why do you think so?

Everyone are GO for testing as long as you use latest IRAI 0.0.41.
Don't worry , this test mod will not interfere in any way with your current campaign so you can freely enable it with your JSGME anytime...

TFA1: very caotic - CV and BB steering backbord - DD collide with
Carrier and is burning. No one visit my Dive position,no wabos - dive to 140 m
and get silentrunning - Some DDs are very slow or stopped,listening for me. CV and BB didn`t speed up when TF recognice me.

TFA2: CV and BB goes straight forward - did not speed up - starboard DD´s(TF)
coming close to me - backboard DD´s (TF) stay close to Capital Ships - Two birds crossing my last surface position, no bombs.

TFA2 is not perfect but better than TFA1.

My test:

TFA: Chaotic. Battle cruiser crashed with DD. DD sunk. Hood in flames. No planes. DDs speeding up, carrier mantained speed without change of course. No depth charges. I mantain 70 mts. depth. DD circling me but it seems they didn´t detect me. Flank speed mantained in my boat for all the exercise.

TFB: better. No crashes. Some planes but no bombs. DD detect me and depth charged me. Go to 85 mts. depth. Depth charges continued. I started a course 45º and the DDs find me and depth charged me. Light damage in hull (integrity 99%). I mantained flank speed under water for all the exercise.

Both missions saved. Reloaded without problems, in the middle of the DDs. No CTD.

Conclusion: TFB is without doubt better, but the attack of the DDs seems "light". Many depth charges but very poor effects on my boat.

I think you should keep in mind that the behavior of a AI in single missions is completely different than in carrier.

Actually, it is not... AI scripts are the same both for single mission and campaign. It is all dependable of group composition, size, type of ships ect...

If you're referring to infamous stuck destroyers in port, that issues can be reproduced in single mission as well...
