OK, I've played a few patrols now, and I have some questions. I'm an SH3 veteran.
How do you lock targets? In SH3, you could press L to lock targets to keep the scope tracking a target. Why do some sunk ships not show up on the map? Is there a way to show "Enemies of Germany" as in SH3? How do you order a specific depth as in SH3? I notice ship icons appearing all over the map, but when you click on them no speed is indicated making plotting an intercept impossible. I've also not noticed any convoy notifications though it is only December 1939. I notice when I secure the deck gun the gun is not pointed along the axis of the sub - it is left pointing wherever it was pointing. How to fix this? I was shooting the deck gun in rough seas and my deck gun crew vanished. Were they lost overboard? I don't see a way to see my crew roster to tell who is injured/dead. Is there any purpose to closing hatches? I figured when I told the XO to go to battle stations the hatches would close but no. I raided Scapa Flow but even when I engaged enemy destroyers with the deck gun none of them engaged me. They surely could have seen me as close as I was. I have had enemy merchants engage me. OK
1.TO lock a target go to your periscope and hover the target cross on a ship and hit the spacebar 2.Enemies of Germany I dont know what you mean. someone else may help you 3.To order a specific depth press your Ctrl button on your keyboard and the depth selection will go advanced so you can order a specific depth 4.Ship Icons some mods in this case NewUIs by TDW remove the vanilla effect of the speed of a ship on the map when you click it 5.So the deck gun or flak gun returns to the original position secure from battle stations 6.The crew vanish because you are underwater when the waves hit dont worry your crew is not overboard they will come back. 7.The purpose is to keep other stations dry if there is a flood in another compartment. You cant dive until you are off the bridge and in to the conning room, the top hatch will close automatically when you hit any dive button. Plus you'll have to manually close each hatch by going near them and clicking on them if you want to but this is not worth it. 8.DDs not attacking you in Scapa is a known bug Good Luck Happy hunting ![]() ![]() Last edited by ADMIRALTIA; 06-02-12 at 12:41 AM. |

1. After hitting the space bar - click on you WEPs office and get him to follow target - he can also id etc
2. unzoom your map and countries will show in colour- red in bad blue is good ![]() |

OK, I only watched 2 minutes in, and I see my problem. I am only seeing ship symbols appear on my map. I have not received any convoy or other contact reports via radio that I have noticed. Of course, it is only December 1939. But I have gotten no contact reports via radio as shown in the video, which include speed. I also do not seem to get any sonar reports from my sonar man. Even when I am submerged and looking at the contact through my periscope. Steve |
