Default SH4 and Windows 7

Will Silent Hunter run on 64bit Windows 7? I have an IMac and will be partitioning my drive through boot camp to run Windows 7 64bit. Does anyone know if it will run?

Ditto, to the above! Please be sure to read the Stickied thread on installing the game in Windows7 and Vista. There are some small tips that will make for a trouble free experience.

Win7 64-bit here, too, and the game is smooth as an elven arse for the first time in 5 years (with a 2-year break inbetween and a totally new rig built a few months ago)! Heck, I even installed in the default directory (Program Files(x86)) with no incident whatsoever...though I'm sure the Gods are chuckling right now and preparing some kind of mischief for my insolence

Holy cow! That makes me wonder: Will SH4 run in Windows 8? Do I even care to get a crowbar and wrestle with Windows 8 to see? Probably not....

Yes it runs fine on Win7 64 bit in a folder off the root C:\

....... and YES RR, SH4 runs fine on Win 8 too!

Also runs on a beefy Mac with a Win sub-partition or whatever it's called. Amazing.

Happy Hunting!

Is it a clean installation, or did you use mods in previous occasions?

Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit w/16gigs ram and 2 nVidia Zotax 460GTX vid cards and it runs so good that I swear a rogue wave will get my face wet.
I loaded it in a dedicated hard drive but not in program files x86.

Runs fine on MacBook Pro, 8GB, using Bootcamp with Win7 and also native MAC OSX Lion (10.7) using Wineskin.
