Once you hit the check mark those reading are there to stay, until you change the entries through the Notepad or TDC.

The shootangle being different from the periscope angle is normal, IF the target is moving.

Knowing speed is critical, 1 meter/sec =1.94 knots or 2 1ft/sec=0.592 knots. Just got done tangling with a convoy on manual targeting got 2 tankers and wounded a cargo, I set TDC 5 knots bearing 10 degrees an 65 to 90 degrees angle on the bow set range 1500 meters that gives a 0 gyro angle, used that on all three ships, set your periscope to the same bearing in the TDC and let the ships pass through the crosshairs and fire amidship. To get speed you have to be stopped get ship length from manual watch through scope and take the time the bow passes the crosshairs till the stern passes and do the math. good hunting
