Sad to hear another great actor passed away:
http://www.imdb.com/news/ni11316733/ I didn't realize he was the older brother of Peter Graves. |

I loved his war story about being the first one out of the landing craft. If the water came to his chest (he was 6'7") they looked for another landing place.
Goodbye, big man. You gave us a lot of enjoyment over the years.

I wasn't a voluntary fan, but as it was Dad's favorite show, I can safely say I saw every episode from the time I came home from the hospital as a wee bairn 'til it finally went off the air.
And I daresay Marshall Dillon was one of my pop's personal heroes, as far as he had any of the "pop culture" variety. RIP Mr. Arness, and thanks for the memories. May flights of Miss Kittys sing thee to thy rest. |
