Default UBoat being pulled to the surface by current?

I am just entering the English channel and have ordered a dive to periscope depth as the area is quite active with patrol vessels, and have noticed at times the UBoat seems to get pulled up close to the surface, sometimes dangerously exposing my position.Having to manually trim the boat at about 14m every so often can get a bit tedious. This could be similar to when the UBoat gets dragged down at slow speeds, and then having to counter with higher speeds?,in my case ahead 1/3.

It might just be heavy waves. I've also had trouble getting under water in coastal areas.

There are no currents in SH3, so it's got to be something else.

I suppose you're playing GWX... here's something quoted straight from the manual:

• The speed at which your U-boat is traveling can affect your depth.
• A U-boat that is non-moving or operating at less than 2 knots will run about one meter or so above its commanded depth. The top of the conning tower may broach the surface if you were at or just above periscope depth. This could result in ships or aircraft spotting your U-boat if they are in range.
• A U-boat operating at greater than 2 knots will be unaffected

There you go.
