The War Has Ended... in Jan. 1942 ?!

I run SHIII with GWX3; I've just finished a mission, came back to St. Nazare and then... surprise - the war has eneded! In Januray 1942 !!
First I thought I'm playing SH5 and made big eyes, but just to discover it's good ol' SHIII: timeout:
I've deleted The War Ended autosave , started a new mission, but all missions after the "end of teh war" are NOT SAVED. Doesn't exist.
I know Silent Hunter is without any doubt the game with the most bugs ever, but this one simply kill the game. Strange...
Anyone encounter this odd behaviour on their SHIII? Cheers.
