Hi all. I recently bought SH3 cause i hate SH4 and the SH5 DRM is stupid. anyway...i got it all installed and installed Commander and GWX 3 Gold, then when i went to launch the program for the first time this little error message pops up: Cannot initialize 3D Engine.
Any solutions to this would be much appreciated. -Sebu |

You have to open SH3 at least once without going through Commander in order for Commander to work. Not sure why but I think the game has to create files the first time you load it that Commander needs to access when you run it for the first time.
Anyway I always forget that after a fresh install. I don't think you have to load a mission or start a career, just open the game and let it load one time and then exit. Then open Commander. |

If you don't start SH3 at least once,
you have no SH3 folder in your Documents folder. SH3 Commander looks for that folder doesn't it? ![]() |

You may also need to make sure that you let the application control the AA as until I did that, whilst I could get the game to run, all I saw was a black screen with the menu music playing in the background. Check this thread out for other possibilities: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=162165 EDIT: good to see you got it to work. |
