Default Silverlight Media Player

On recommendation of TV2, I tryed it.

Had to go back to the regular Windows Media Player because the "new and improved" Silverlight, has no "Stop" function.

How could they possibly overlook something so simple?

It's realy a shame as, other than this orersight, it does seem to be well engineered.

OK subsim experts, did they overlook this, or did I overlook something?

Dunno but I am looking for a new media player as my old version of Power DVD wont play new titles without captions Maybe Ill try this one out and I'll get back to you.

This just happened recently I first noticed it with the latest Star Trek Flick. Not only you cannot get rid of the captions but it puts them accross the screen and kind ruins the film.

BTW have you tried the 'obvious' keys for pause such as the pause button, space bar, the letter P and such?

Or do what I do and just start punching buttons till something happens

It's too late for guessing my way through what should have been plainly included.
Went back to WMP, and added an ASV player that can handle all types files.
I like it.

I still use Winamp 2.95 for MP3s and VLC for everything else.
Never really liked WMP - takes too long to load, too many unnecessary gadgets. VLC is simplistic elegance
