I hope we will have the sense to leave them alone.

It's strange to see another world like that.

Such things really make me think of what it is to be human and makes my modern
sorroundings seam very artificial.

Plenty of medically valuable plants, for example. It is estimated that every hour 1-10 botanic species that could show us a combination of substances medical research could benefit from get wiped out by us with us even not knowing that they have been there.

Also: the deep seas below a depth of lets say 3000m. as authors love to put it: we know less about that than we know about the moon.

Of course, that is just because the moon is so dull.

Well one of the photos show that they are shooting arrows at the camera man. It shows they have had dealings with the media before.

Why? Maybe they saw a helicopter for the first time, and defended their village, thinking it was a giant firefly trying to eat their wives and children, or take their hunting prey. Anywhere else in the jungle, they maybe would have run away. or stayed hidden.

But maybe we could learn something from their way of handling the media.

How curious. These people remind me of lost civilizations from thousands of years ago. It's like Cortez's meeting with the Aztecs. I love how they brandish their spears at the helicopter, perhaps thinking it to either be some sort of bird, or possibly even a god. What secrets might these people hold? How did they come about. It's strange to see such uninformed creatures of another age. They're like lost relics from the past: amazing and strange to us as we are to them.

Don't be so daft guys. Those pictured are just some of the extras left behind from the filming of the new Indiana Jones film.

If I where in an untouched tribe I think I would want to know about the modern world,
even if I didn't want to become a part of it.

I would certinaly not like to think the rest of the world was keeping me deliberatly ignorant.

The bowmen brought that big bird down. They found the shell a bit tough but the insides were lovely...

National Geographic will be climbing up their uncovered butts before long. Next thing you know they will be drinking coke and smoking Marlboro looking for a MP3 player. So much for the life of bliss for these folks.
