wow!
no ****... they look much more alive than any ones i have seen so far.
SHINING with colours.

these men have not been at sea for a while, but look more like stranded in the carribean on extended holiday.

except the first, third and last one from the lower row. classic wolves...

Unless I'm mistaken, those are painted models; and very, very good ones.

My favorites are still the Das Boot ones, but I like to collect them and it's always nice to have options. In fact, now that I think of it, I think I'll go see if SH3 Commander's randomizer will let me be surprised by which set of faces I get with each load...:hmm:

Thanks for sharing those, Lutzow; and thanks to Thorn for giving permission.

I agree,these faces look great.
I have just downloaded the file, and I am now wondering how I actually activate them,or to be more precise how the game activates them,as the faces havent changed.I have tried installing them mid patrol,I am not sure if this is possible or advisable, can it only be done pre-patrol?.
This is how I tried installing it:
1: I deleted the old ofaces files, replacing with these new ones.
2: I also tried an overwriting method, overwriting the originals with these.
NOTE: I have made a backup of the ofaces folder just in case.

Sorry if I appear naive.I have played SHIII since its release and quite extensively, but I am new to modding thats all
I have the stock 1.4b version of the game.

Thanks for the help

Do You have JSGME [Jone Soft Game Mod Enabler] installed ?

This is the easiest way

And golden advice : Enable all mods when You are safe in Your port.
After mission.

Sea is dangerous - especially in Silent Hunter 3.

Might have to check this out.

Although, looking at the example picture in the first post, Top Row -

The guy 2nd from the right kind of creeps me out.

lutzow, afraid not no,but I could download it sometime,I just dont want to risk ruining my current campaign, not too sure what to and what not to install at the moment.I DO however have a few minor mods installed, like improved smoke, better flags/emblems and so on.

danurve,I have to agree,he does look bloody weird,he looks more like Max Schreck who played Nosferatu in the original german silent :rotfl:
There are a few I particularly like and they appear more seasoned and battle hardened, such as:
top row 2nd,I love the pipe
top row 3rd he looks older and wiser, and at least has a full beard
top row last, that is a dead ringer for my man Rommel!
and bottom 3rd is a cracker,he looks just like a young Doenitz.I think this one looks the best.

Could someone also make similar looking faces for the actual animated officers? Is it possible in SH3?
