Default Im still laughing!!!

I'm on my second patrol in october 1939. I patrolled relentlessly up and down the eastern coast of britain destroying large merchants and passenger/cargo ships with each pass over a course of days . I was running low on fuel and decided to return to base (wilhemlshaven). Near the south eastern coast i encountered a brit schooner:hmm: . What to do??? It was a perfectly clear day with no waves no wind not anything bad. I decided to attack this small but very tempting target that was so small it was funny. My deckgun opened up with its last 15 rounds. A few hit and the schooner was taking on water at the stern but continued to move along. I pulled up along side it and began firing the flak gun. After around 5 clips i decided that this was going nowhere.

I sped ahead of this small but intimadating vessel and began stern tube procedures. Set depth 1m, speed fast, impact pistol, open tube 5! Once at 275m i fired. Impact in 25 seconds. All the sudden BOOM:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . The ship went under, shot up, and disapeared. I went to the bridge and looked around. Nothing:hmm: . Loooked up. There in the sky was the boat(thought it was a plane) smaller than a speck. It was spining wildly down to earth and the entire ship was on its side doing circles and spins in the air.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . It slammed into the water after minutes of free falling and went upright again. I didnt have the controls at the bottom of the screen and thought it was still alive . but it wasnt. It sailed on blackened as a burnt black cat and then slowly sank. I literally am still laughing at the part where it shot up. *sighs* Well anyway have any of you experienced that? Sorry for the long post (hope it was entertaining) but i was wondering if yall know of a way for hit spots to show up in the recognition manual (where it has a highlighted ship places for good hits). Anyway help would be much appreciated and thankyou for reading a long post. --Mowgli

Yeah anything with a low weight and a single damage compartment does it when hit with a big impact weapon like a torpedo.

Why are you wasting torpedoes on them. BdU want's a word with you when you get back to port

I can say with about 100% certainty that in fact they were...

I put a Star Shell round into a torpedo boat...That exploded very nicely, and sunk like a brick, but no flying....though flying things did come after :/

A star shell and even a 105mm DG shell won't make it fly. Only a torpedoe. Its just the ingame qhysics. big bang + low target weight = flying target.

Having sailed in sloops, ketches and schooners, I refuse to sink sailboats

Dowly's thread explaining how to post screenshots covers each step so you must be missing something.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=107399 it takes a while to load cos there are a few screenshots in the actual thread. Wait until its all there then read thru the instructions. He has not left anything out.
