Default [REL] Thermalizer

Here's a little application for SH4 that will randomize the thermal attenuation effect values based on time of year. Since SH4 seems to have the layer set at both a fixed depth and level of attenuation, this app attempts to provide a more varied experience by adjusting the attenuation value by season (simulating the varying depth of the thermocline over the course of the year), as well as introducing a degree of randomness to the effect (thereby accounting in some measure for the broad spectrum of possible conditions that affect detection probabilities for contacts across the layer).

This kind of disappeared, it functions fine with 1.3 from what I understand. The link for the d\l works.

And the crew does say passing thermal layer even with this aplication installed. So there is no need to change anything. Just pick the month you are in on your patrol and let it make the changes then start your game and you are good to go. I have been using this application since it was put out Nice stuff.

thanks for the kind words, guys.

personally, i disable the "passing thermal layer" voice message until my boat historically gets its BT, but that's just me...

'glad folks are using and apparantly enjoying my little app!

It is an aplication that has to do it's own thing. It changes the thermal layers in the game each month. Just fallow the directions on how to get it running and you are good to go. No need to disable the phrase from the crew.
