BdU reports task forces NE and WSW of our position, both going away, and the contact is out of the convoy lane, so what is this?

Once I am sure it is not an aircraft, we investigate.

5.5 hours later...

Scratch one flat-top.

Illumination kindly provided by an Evarts class searching for U-285.

FIRST patrol...
Playing WAC 4.1 and SH3 commander + H.sie patch

Took damage in all compartments when trying to leave Wilhelmshaven,
because the locks closed into my sub..

and was still trying to fix it when a plane is spotted.
Probably a friendly one, so close to base...

Man the flak g... W*F???I mean.. S**t S**t!!

I had to dive...
Believe, I survived to tell.

I got surprised too, maybe 20 meters less I would take all DC right on my deck.
I guess this VIIB will have to look for a new base... 2th flotilla doesn't exist anymore!!!!!
