Default Chosing among different subs in missions

Is there a way to make it so that you can chose all - or at least a couple of different submarine types in the 'Submarine School' ?
I have scrutinized the mission files *.mis, and *.tsr but found nothing but the sub name and class name, the single mission files where you can indeed chose all subs do not differ in their syntax from the school missions, so there must be another config file somehwere so that when I go in the school menu I'm able to scroll for different subs (and not only the Purpoise sub).

I hope I made my question clear (my English is not the best, pardon me.)

Thanks,
XS

I found the solution:
It's about to copy a School mission into SingleMissions and keep the same name for the .mis and .tsr files as the folder name. Then, different mission start dates will have different possible subs available in the menu to chose from.

you beat me by about 5 seconds.

yes. you can drag both of the mission files to Single Missions and play them there. the only sad part is that you cannot chain them together for a career.

Yep, all this to chose...guess...The Narwhal class and play with my 2 deck guns against a heavy cruiser (see screenshot in my post about 'damaged deck gun without reason'). I have taken the 'torpedo attack' mission from the School and put it in the SingleMissions. Worked like a charm.
A Narwhal will definitly use its 2 deck guns in auto when you man both compartments in the crew management before, give the order to man the gun in the menu, and then use your binocular on a target (space bar).

Cheers,
XS

I copied some of the single missions from other mods and they worked too, even a few patrols as well.

The game and the mission editor both are rather "sensitive" to any configuration differences between the ships and equipment used on them in the scenario. Some mods like FotRSU, a lot of the ship have different ClassName and Type calls. Crashing the game of course, is basically harmless, but doing a Save may well corrupt your Save folder. It would be best if you open the file in a text editor first, and check the "calls" for the ship prior to trying to run the scenarios. You could use either the Roster / Nation / Sea folder, or the Sea / ShipName folder to find both the ClassName and Type of the ship, so that you can match the scenario to the game files.

Why not just manually edit the mis file and change the name of the boat.
Works for me without a problem.
