Default Hello from Massachusetts

Hey everybody! My name is Ian and I'm from Massachusetts. The first sub game I ever played was probably Sub Hunt on the Intellivision. After that, it was Red Storm Rising for the Commodore 64, then later Strikefleet for the same system (I know, it's not a subsim). Back in 2007-2008, I discovered Silent Hunter 3, and even though it was a crashing pain in the ass, I still loved playing it. Flash forward to just last year, and I discovered the wonders of YouTube and subscribed to Wolfpack345's Silent Hunter 3 videos. That's where I learned about Subsim. I've downloaded the game from Steam and it works! Having trouble even downloading the mods and how my computer recognizes them, but whatever. This site is a labyrinth for me, so any hints to faqs would be most appreciated, as would any greetings. Glad to be a part of things here.

Default Thanks!

Thank you all for the kind greetings. It took me a while to navigate the site and longer still to investigate mods. Between here and Jive Turkey instructional videos, I've managed to get the North Atlantic 1990 campaign working. It's great! Next stop, SH3. Thank you very much for links and such.
