Default Comparison "Steel Fury" vs "T-34-Tiger"

They have a running thread about comparing the two here:

http://www.lighthouse-interactive.co...ac6584930768ae

Quite some people seem to argue that Steel Fury is the better of the two.

Well, having read comparisons and after playing the Steel Fury demo, I know which one I'm really looking forward to. Although I prolly will end up buying T-34 as well, sucker that I am for WWII tanksims...

Default Hello

I've played the press release preview versions of both...

Like I said in another post, I believe SF to be more of a WW2 Battlefield simulation, concentrated on armor and it's support units.

While WW2 BT's is less of a battlefield simulation and more of a one man armor simulation with limited support.

Both have mission editors, one has MP (WW2BT).

Lets put it this way, print out the key command list for WW2 BT and it is one full page long, print out the key command list for SF and it is four pages long... that should give you a clue.

Oh yes indeed! Probably the most convicning argument, at least for me, why to wait for SF. It seems to be more like what an old SBP-simmer is looking for in simulation depth.

Have you a word on the specs for us? How do they compare for both games. Is SF more demanding than TvT?

Oh, and welcome aboard, btw!

Hi, sorry I cant really tell u much about how both run.....Id rather think of myself as a treadhead than a ubergeek.....
Steel Fury demo runs fine on my setup with most settings on high and i guess im probably low/mid range at best nowadays
3600 x2 Athlon skt 939, Asus Ati 3650 ddr3, 2gb ram

I posted on Lighthouses own site that TvsT seems a little soulless and artificial, that maybe down to my setup.
In comparison a year old demo of SteelFury looks n feels more natural.

TvT once patched to get rid of some bugs (uncooperative Ai gunner!!) is probably what to go for if you want multiplayer.

SteelFury is offline only but the fact that theyve managed to mod the russian language demo extensively seems really positive (adding additional drivable vehicles and missions ) and so may get good community back-up a bit like Op.Flashpoint did with many Czech n Ru modders.
Cant wait for release.
The futures looking pretty rosey if you like WW2 tank combat

My money is on SF so far, going to DL the demo tonight and check it out. The videos I have watched are great of both sims and It's been so long since I have sat in the gunner seat that they both look promising.
