Default some questions

had this on my wishlist for a long time, finally bought it. Very nice so far. I had a few questions:

1. TDC. Is there a way to input data directly into the TDC? When I hover my mouse over the dials, I see two arrows appear, but cannot get the dials to move and have not seen any thing in the manual. So far, I have been using the "1" interface to input data.

2. German dials. Any way to get the original German language instruments inside the U-boat?

1: You can drag the dials to input the data.

2: Not right now, but I also hope it's coming!

Thanks, got the TDC working, nice touch that you can adjust the mouse sensitivity. That 3d TDC is a piece of Art!

I have to admit my manual solution skills are rusty, thought I needed to input target heading, but figured out the target AOB takes care of that for you. I have to go back to school!

I can see why people rave about this, nice to have a real hardcore Subsim.

Yup, target course is hidden in the device itself. You can't set that outside of setting the appearance of how it is going in regards to the line of sight.

yes, played the tutorial a few times and quickly got up to speed.

Have not tried MP yet, but it is well laid out for SP play. All the resources you need are one click away while at the UZO or Attack scope.

I always determine range by counting scope hash marks (never trusted the stadimeter in SH), so glad to see the Devs went with the same method.

My preferred method to determine speed, course and AOB was to plot the ships on the map. Not possible in SP since you cannot pause, although it would be fun in MP with one player manning the scope calling out bearing and range and another one plotting the course on the map and doing the calculations.

However, guesstimating the AOB using the old Mark 1 eyeball and using the stopwatch method to determine speed seems to give results which are not off by more than 10-20% which is good enough for a hit.

The only suggestions I would have would be to: i) be able to leave the recognition manual by hitting the "C" key again so you do not have to grab your mouse and go click the "X" mark in the corner; and ii) having and ingame speed calculator, but those are very minor points.
