I have a duel install.

Clean IL-2 4.09m and the other with the HSFX 4.1 mod pack.

I haven't had much time to play around with it but I'm assuming HSFX 4.1 has all the extra maps and stuff that AAA mod has.

Anyway I hope to make a Taranto raid mission now we have the Swordfish.

Thought I recognised the format. That's by the same guy who did the Filthy Few that we played a while back. Aside from the fun and games with carrier landings, and attacking our own forces, that was quite a fun campaign

I have. It is getting annoying all these places requiring you to register.

I wonder why that is?

Might be just so the side admins know how many people use their site to get stuff. Or just for showoff "See, we got this many members. How many you got?"

Just working my way through Castaways at the moment. Damn good fun, although the latest mission started well and then just went down the toilet. Bomb the Jap supply base, all good. Took off, followed Steady Eddie, just arrived at the base and I spot a Jap H8K float-plane thing. Oooh, good target says I, and in I go. Line up on the back and give her a burst...but Steady Eddie has other ideas and puts himself between me and the H8K, in my firing line, whilst I'm firing.
Friendly Aircraft Destroyed.

Well...that went well.
But, it's not over! I now turn my attention to the Jap base, and plonk my bombs on it, but a lucky Jap gunner prangs my starboard fuel tank. So I switch my starboard engine off and head for home...but it's foggy...in the Pacific...with little islands.

WHERE THE HELL IS HOME?!!

Fly around like a lost sheep for about fifteen minutes, circling various islands, trying to recognise them in the fog before being put out of my misery by two Jap Ki-43s...

Now I know how Flight 19 felt...

So your in his castaways campaign...

Im guessing your bombing the jap seaplane base...

Do like he tells you to, drop yer bombs, and get the hell out of there. He has it so you pretty much need to RTB, as he said the missions are not so you always win, or can even win, just so you have to fly hard, and RTB... Just wait till later.

If that is hard... just wait till you get to the last mission... after a... Ill let ya find out...

It wasn't so much hard, I'd have been fine if Eddie hadn't decided to commit suicide, I'd have even made it back on one engine if I could have followed him. I just kinda got lost and with one engine, and the other one overheating almost constantly because it's doing the work of two, it kinda...all went a bit Pete Tong I think next time I'll say sod the flying boat.

Has anyone tried flying the Mig-15 in HFSX 4.1?

It is so sweet and the cannons are really good. Shot Shcultz's tower with one press of the trigger.
