No, Carleton. They had slightly milder scholarship requirements, and my program is kinda un-prestigeous anywhere. I'm considering U of O as a second option for my MA, though, but I'd rather stick with the profs I know at Carleton now.

There's more me thinks too...

We have the "How old are ye one..."...

The "What's your profession one"

Funny i was just thinking that this place is starting to look like a marketing survey disguised as a fan site forum.

24 yo, was born in Moscow, Russia (though my relatives often pull my leg saying that I'm Indian - 'cause my parents worked in India and Mommy became pregnant there )
In 2003, I graduated from Journalism Faculty, MSU. Now working at Ph.D. thesis there. The same time got the Lieutenant's stars in PW, on military sub-faculty.
Worked in many areas and occupations. Now - a news editor on RTR.

Name: Let's just call me Marhkimov.
Age: 19

About me:
I grew up in California. For as long as I can remember, I adored airplanes. When I was a kid, all I used to do was draw airplanes. One after the other: airplanes, airplanes, airplanes. Right now, I don't love airplanes as much as I used to, but I still think that they are cool.

Then when I got a little older, my dad got MS Flight Simulator 98 for my birthday. That was fun. I still have fond memories of trying to take off and land from Meigs field in Chicago.

Then with the advent of newer and faster computers, I bought MS Combat Flight Simulator 2. I loved that game, as it got me hooked to the world of online modding. I would always download new airplanes and just fly. It was so fun. I remember flying B-52's and B-36's. Those were the days... Then I went to CFS3, IL2, and IL2FBAces. I also played a lot of Madden and NHL on the PS2.

But more recently in my life, I am a ballroom dancer. I know, that's very atypical. An airplane dude that likes to dance? But you know what? It's funny how life presents you with these twists and turns... That's what makes life special.

I've been dancing ever since I was 17, and it is now my lifelong passion. It's an amazing and graceful sport, and one day I hope to be #1 dancer in the world.

In my freetime, I am a college student at a junior college. I have not a clue what I want to major in, but not surprisingly my heart wants me to be a dance instructor. I also play SH3 and do a lot of skinning/modding. And I hang around in the subsim forums too much... Thank you subsim.

That would be news to my old first sergeant who before joining the army was in the Czech army during the old Warsaw pact days.

I don't mind these posts; it's always interesting to learn about the personalities on Subsim.com!

Rich C.
Born 1974
Romeo (32 miles north of Detroit), Michigan
Married, 4 cats, and hopefully childrten on the way within the next year.

I have a BA in History and a Master's of Library and Information Science.
Haven't been able to find a professional job in my area in almost 2 years, but I love my current job at Home Depot and will probably stay there (close to home and they treat me very well).

I've been playing subsims, flight sims, and other computer games since the mid 80s and still love it!

Hobbies: Computer games (currently on my hard drive: SH3, Battlefield2, Pirates!, Tropico, and Civ4), the automotive industry/sports cars in general, reading all sorts of books (currently reading Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series, bk. 12 now), and sneaking out for drives in my wife's new Mustang.

Name: Mark
Age: 29

Currently employed by the US Navy (for 11 years so far); I've been teaching here at Subschool for 4 years and am looking foward to going back out to sea in March for another tour onboard a fine fast attack boat. So far I've served on board one other SSN and DSRV-1 Mystic before becoming an instructor. I love flight sims, subsims and other various and assorted ways of rotting my brain. Actually I balance it out evenly by hiking and kayaking as much as possible. Thats me in a small nut shell.
