If there's an airfield nearby, one option would be to just move the take off point there. Should be a simple click & drag job.
But yeah, would be nice to try something different for a chance. |

I think this mission would be excellent to try to fly in couples of 2 (leader & wingmen) and see if we can coordinate with the rest to attack an objective from multiple locations. HunterICX

I'm out for the evening on Thursday But will hopefully have BS by next Wed's session - although I'll be the one sat on the ground aimlessly clicking buttons trying to make it go.
Edit: may be back in time, unless we come home via the pub!

Traitors!
Right, so, we were wanting a mission this time, right? I'll start one that Hunter send me, and Dowly linked me to a pack as well, so we have some options. I'll start that training mission in a minute so people can practice if they want, switch it over to a proper mission once we get everyone together.

First some practice:
You know what the remarkable thing is? Nothing ever fired on me. Was trying to hover right above Dowly and lower my gear into his rotors. Obviously, he gave the collective a yank when I got into position, and there you go. And then on to serious business: Dowly dances with a speedboat. Passing Task Force while RTB. Got shot up by some light armor. Navigation out, main hydraulics failing and right engine damaged. Jettisoned what I could and made my landing without the autopilot channels... quite twitchy.

^love it. That's a scene you won't get flying with AI.
Aaalrighty, hosting A-10C. Feel free to get your practice on, no pressure, just have some fun. I'll help out as much as I can, but I don't know keyboard commands, mapped everything I need to hotas and the rest I just flick in the cockpit.

Sorry, think I've gone overboard with the screenies!
Just a little something to keep the groundcrew out of trouble! Reheat? Who put reheat on an A-10? Hopefully some debris hit the guys who fired the missile! Arclight doing what Arclight did best. Another three taken out with one cluster bomb! Arclight did sustain some damage, just a few holes and a missing wingtip. Oh, and a shredded tyre. What a game (sim), if anybody is in doubt about getting it then don't be!

Wasn't aware of the shredded tire: she veered off the runway the moment it touched down.
Berbunch joins me on terra firma. DCS A-10C: Truckbuster, GAU-8/A FTW Edition. Just doing the flying thing with Berbunch: This again. Damn you, MWS! You too, RWR. edit: oh right: most I got with 1 cluster bomb was 2 tanks. The run where I hit 3 was with 2 bombs delivered.

Off-topic but I must express my awe. Darn those cockpits are detailed in A-10!
