SHO Suggestion: Save within Encounter

Us old folks have bed times we have to try to accommodate. Coming off of an encounter than took me an hour longer than I wanted to handle (awesome tension/not complaining), I was immediately greeted by another encounter. Yeah, yeah ... autosave. But I started playing anyway because, well, whiskey.

Long story short, awhile later and looking at the clock I wanted to retire out. I figured I would just hit ESC and click SAVE ... well, damn.

So anyway, any chance of further updates to this game to include such a feature? And, while on it, any paid DLC to allow me to dump some loot your way, Killerfish?

Thanks for reading!

agreed! I like and respect the slow tactical patience of this game, but I don't usually have more than 60-90 minutes per sitting before sleep/work/life takes priority. A "quicksave" function would be immensely helpful and more engaging, or at least the option to tap someone on this forum and say "you have the conn"

Maybe a quick timed programmable auto-save feature to 'resurrect' you, say 15 minutes ago, when you were still sane? That last auto-save always resolves the guilt.
Sometimes an Emergency Blow just isn't enough.
I'm waiting to see some mining missions. Ooops, we don't do that.

Couldn't agree more....hard to balance playing this game with RL without the ability to save within the game...always have to just start over or abbreviate the mission

Real Life can take away from the game. I, too, getting up in years and down in health, have to mind the clock at times, esp late evening hours or those precious times I can engage the game undisturbed. In any event, this is the first game in ages I'll keep my wallet open to support the devs in this great endeavor. AlltheBest- AllQuiet

I noticed a tick box control in the Options pane, something like "Disable Iron Man."

I assume that means you can save at any time and are not dependent only on the Autosaves for your campaign progress?
