Default Solved It !

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
I have solved the question I asked you in post #373.
I've managed to actually get the 'grid map' as my 'nav map' in stock game.
Take a look at the list of mods I've enabled, and the order.

NewUIs_TDC_7_5_0_ByTheDarkWraith
IO_StrategicMap_7_5_0_for_TDWv750
IO_StrategicMap_7_5_0_for_TDWv750 Grid Req Fix
Kriegsmarine Grid Map for MO and TDW UIs by stoianm
MarineQuadratKarte
Charts_Sjizzle_sublynx_Vertigooo_vdr1981_ver1.5

This is working. My main 'Nav Map' now with the 'Grids' & I believe the last mod gives more charts & the Light Grid.
If you want to see what you think yourself & let me know.
Regards Lachie(lowbow).

Hi Lachie
Well done for sorting the problem out and achieving what you wanted to happen.
The grids show on the map anyway by scrolling with your mouse and disappear when you mouse in.
I have never liked the IO Strategic map with the grey blobs which is why I prefer the colored map variations of 3 and 4 in the map mod I showed you.

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
Thanks. I know what you mean about the IO_StrategicMap.
I'll do a bit more and change that using the High Contrast Nav Maps you showed me.

Default Revised Campaign Fix And Working Tonnage Bar By MaMa

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
1. I meant to ask about the Campaign Fix & Tonnage Bar in your post #188.
Is that info still relevant today to be able to continue in stock game ?
2. Also I noticed in your post #171 a link at bottom of the page 'How To Replace a Faulty SH5 Game Launcher' which takes you to another link to download a Game Launcher in a post by SJFERGY18. This launcher seemingly allows you to install Uplay game launcher anywhere on system.
Is there any relevance in the use of this ?
Regards Lachie(lowbow).

Yes, if you buy the game today you will be buying a corrupted game that does not work properly.
This is why you need to use a mega mod that removes part of the problem with the tonnage bar and campaign icons.
The mega mods do not however sort out the problem with moving from campaign to campaign without using a fix.
The game launcher is responsible for all these problems when Ubisoft transferred the workings to Uplay over 2 years ago.
The only solution to all the problems where everything works as it should do is to remove the game launcher from the game.

Yes, having a genuine independant game launcher that is not automatically installed in the Program Files (x86) directory is less likely to be problamatic, the reason being that the directory has control and does not like changes being made to it.

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
I take your points in both answers.
So it's impossible to get rid of the launcher & be able to play without it ?
That's just wishful thinking from me.
Thanks again Peter.

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
Could you clarify which campaign progress fix or workaround is for the stock game and which is only for TWoS & OHII ?
The posts I'm looking at are post #22 & post #188 (which has a link to fix we've all been waiting for). Much obliged for your help.
Regards Lachie(lowbow).

Hi Lachie
Post #22 work around relates to the Open Horizons v2.5 campaign mod being enabled in JSGME (All mega mods use this).
Post#188 MaMa's Fix 2 and alternative Fix 1 may work for the stock game?

In the stock game you have the tonnage bar and campaign icons (Removed from all mega mods).
If these are working correctly then there is a good chance that the campaign progression will also work.
Personally I would try this.
1 hour before the campaign is due to end make a manual game save and exit to the main menu.
Load the game save and see if your campaign successfully ends.
If it does not then you will need to use "silentotto" (Tutorial available)

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
That's me back from the sickbay.
Thanks for last lot of info, and it's ok I know how to use 'silentotto' if I should need it.
Do you know what the 'Campaign & Mission Dates' should be for the stock game ? (or point me in the right direction).
Regards Lachie,(lowbow).

Hi Lachie
AFAIK they are the same as in OHII but without the addional missions.
The missions may have different names.
The Campaigns Total Germany, Happy Times and others will be the same as OHII.
Post #64 Open Horizons II > Campaign Dates > Bases > U-Boats

If you go to C:\Documents\SH5\data\cfg\SaveGames\Last save game\Campaign-????-??-??_????\Campaign cfg file you will find a lot more information.

Hi Peter,

In reference to the message I sent you, here is the screen shot of what I'm getting using TDW’s Options File Editor Viewer to setup my TAI and Navigation Map patches. As you can see I am not getting any of the tabs along the top and so can't access the TAI. What am I doing wrong?

Hi ronin
The 9 patches in your picture are TDW's Generic File Patcher.
Have you installed TDW's Option File Editor Viewer?
You need TWOS or TDW's NewUI 7-4-2- or 7-5-0 mods.
Cannot be installed if you are playing the stock game.

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
At the moment I’ve got things working fine with the stock game & various mods. My second install I used to try out ‘TWoS’ (which is great), but I’d like to try ‘OH II’ & some mods on a fresh install.
I’ve checked out what I can find about ‘OHII’, but could you tell me how realistic is ‘OHII’ compared to stock game and ‘TWoS’ ?
Is there anything I need to watch out for when installing and enabling ‘OHII’ & mods ?
Also could you recommend some of the mods that is ok with ‘OHII’ ?
Regards Lachie (lowbow).
