2nd and 10th flotillas

Its 1942 summer I am thinking of switching to 10th flottila. I wonder what are the diffrences between 2th and 10th? I have Type IXC

The 10th Flotilla transfers to Penang in I think Aug43 so if you live that long you can patrol into the Indian ocean and base yourself there.
