You should have started on 12/08/41, YellowFin. Do you have any other mods loaded with FotRSU? Did you notice, did you have the crew up top when you left Pearl or Manila - where did you start, by the way? Also, is this a fresh install of the game and / or mod? Do you use MultiSH4, and did you clear the Save folder before starting the career? Did you happen to <Alt><Tab> out of the game, or use the Windows key to get to the desktop? If you did, Save the game with a useful name. Fully exit from the game. Start the game again, and reload that "useful" Saved game, and see if your crew is back. Let us know, please.

Tested and work perfectly


This a short explanation ( of Nicolas )of this Mod :
 

... this mod, when the position keeper auto is off and you move the aob dial, the other aob dial in the PK will be moved too.
For those who doesnt know, when you click the clock icon to get speed, it gives you the course too. You can match the aob in the PK with the course of the target.

So, to get a very accurate solution:

1 Send range / bearing.
2 Wait a moment, and Send range / bearing again. This way the crew can plot the target course, and calculate the speed.
3 Click on the stopwatch to get speed and course, Send.
4 Move the aob dial to match the target course and Send (see picture and video).
5 Send range and bearing again and turn on the Position Keeper.
6 Fire.
...
If you're going to attack another ship (convoy attack):
1 Turn off the PK
2 Lock the ship, adjust AOB to the known course and Send.
3 Get range / bearing and send.
4 .....fire.

Negative. The installation is a few weeks old, but it used to be modded with FotRSU0.52, which I deactivated with JGSME. The career in question was started freshly with 0.63 activated.

It's amazing sometimes how that helps things. Another thing it can help is if you use a lot of high time compression, and lose most of your audio, just Save, Exit, Restart, and magically it's all back... Usually.

If you didn't clear your Save folder previously, and you're pretty well into the new career, let the sleeping dog lay. Just do NOT load an old save from the previous version, or use a SingleMission created in it, else you might trash things...

Can we retain current Hatsuharu's bridge model in the next version? It's nice and historically accurate:





From CapnScurvy's screenshot, Hatsuharu's bridge will be unified with Shiratsuyu's bridge:

In comparison of the two destroyers, the Hatsuharu has a third rear "main" gun battery where the Shiratsuyu does not. The Shiratsuyu has a "Flakgun" platform before the Command Bridge and several other AA gun installations, where the Hatsuharu does not.

These changes to the Hatsuharu and Shiratsuyu will be in the next release....along with their Torpedo firing capabilities.
However, they were actually different... Hatsuharu's bridge is slightly lower and broader, while Shiratsuyu's is a little bit taller and thiner:

They looks same in ONI recognition because the intelligence during war time was anyway ambiguous in some degree.

Default Keyboard List

I feel stupid for asking, but where can I find a command list for the keyboard for the mod? For the life of me I can't remember how to open the friggin torpedo hatches...

"Q" toggles the torp doors.
Look at Commands.cfg in the cfg folder.
That is where all commands are stored.

... and if you're looking for most of the keyboard short-cuts, there's an FotRSU version of the Q-Cards, "SH4_Q-Ref_Card_Front.jpg" and "SH4_Q-Ref_Card_Back.jpg" in the game's root folder. It was updated by CapnScurvy for v0.63

Installed FOTRSU on a new, fresh install of SH4 patched to the latest plus the u-Boat addon. I only played around with it a short time and I can't figure out how to get the "free camera" to work. Any ideas? I do have external cameras allowed in options.

Check your game play options first, but in FotRSU, the camera is F12. Check the keyboard charts in the game's root folder, "SH4_Q-Ref_Card_Front.jpg" and "SH4_Q-Ref_Card_Back.jpg"

Regardless of the Gameplay Options you select from the Main Menu, you need to reset them in the Office before starting your first career mission. Move the cursor over the Radio in the Office and go to Gameplay Options. You will find they are back to the defaults. Set them to your preference there and all will be fine. Good Hunting!

Hi
I'm at my first career and first patrol(8 december 1941)
I was sent close to the Japanese coasts after sinking 3 fish-boats, I intercepted a convoy 6-8 merchant And 1 Warship , At periscope depth 1800 meters range stopped engine and fired 3 torpedo 1 missed 1 hit And last exploded in advance.
Merchant hited stopped zero speed,
But the whole convoy has continued on its course ,and escort no serched me! he continued in front of the convoy ,now i ask:
is the behavior of the escort normal?
is it because we are just at the beginning of the war?

I have found that in some of the convoys, what appears to be the "escorts" are not set to "escort" status, so you might see a corvette-type vessel, or patrol craft, but it is part of the convoy, like a cargo ship, and not set to "chase" anything, and their "attack" AI isn't as strong as a DD. I'm trying to write a little utility app to run through files to find those, so they can be edited correctly, without having to search through five thousand RGG. Also of note, the warship might possibly be set to be the convoy "leader", has no sympathy, and they do not stop for one straggler. Easy tonnage for you - for now... - in the meantime, did you happen to see if the rest of the convoy begin a zig-zag course immediately prior to, or just after the torpedo impact? Thank you!
