Default Mod maker big noob and screenshot problem.

Hello!

I would like to know if there is any easy way to get a good screenshots of warships.

I would like to create my own recognition manual. I like Rick's recognition manual, but I have a few more ships and don't like the background color.

I use Silent 3ditor to get merchant ships screenshoots, but when I use this program with warships they appear without guns on deck.

Is there any simple way (or simple program) to get a complete view of a warship (with all weapons and textures included)?
I've tried with the museum but i don't like the result.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards!

Yes, it is possible, but requires a lot of work.
I'm going to do with my ships, but I have not even started yet. I have a huge list of things to do in SH3, but do not always have the mood for that.

Only S3D and Notepad are needed.
You need to transfer the guns from guns.dat to the ship's.dat file, doing consultation from .eqp for the ship - exactly which guns on which slot is placed.
And because I do black silhouettes, this is enough. But you also want textures, then you have to transfer materials with textures from guns.dat to ship's.dat.
Don't save the files, all this is just to make your screenshot, for just one ship. And how many warships you have? Lots of work is needed!

Someone had a script or something that assisted in this at one time.
I don't recall all the details nor where and when it was posted.

Thanks for the answers.

I developed my own method. It may not be perfect but it works with me.

I open the ship's .dat file and then I import the guns_UK.dat file.
Then I manually put the guns in the right place and take a screenshot. Unfortunately the guns_UK.dat file only have one 4,7 inch gun, but the ship needs four.

So to solve this problem I select the 4,7 inch gun, choose "Show only selected object" option and take one screenshot of the gun. With the Photoshop I duplicate this image 3 times and join all screenshots in the ship layer.

The result of the first test.

Hello Pedro 100,

all ship you show have recognition charts made from images made using assembled models in S3D. Such assembled models may appear that way:

You could have simply asked if the respective files are still available. Most of the ones I did are. Just list the model you want to re-do and I send you the files. Or just a few (otherwise the archive file may become rather big), so you see how the multiple entry issue can be addressed.

Cheers -- the Frog

Thank you so much for your kindness.
Could you send me please the "HMS Algerine", the destroyer class tribal or other warship that you have. So i could see (and learn) how the multiple entry issue can be addressed?

Very thanks!

P.S.: You need my personal email or the files can be sent through forum?
