Default Question about system requirements and my awful computer

I'm really interested in this game, and I've read the system requirements, but I am still unsure if my computer will handle it. Unfortunately the game is a bit too pricey for me to take a risk on without knowing, wish there was a small demo of some sort but I guess that's old school

Can someone with some insight perhaps tell me the real deal scoop on how this game will perform for me?

2.7ghz i5
intel iris graphics 1.5gb (I know, this is the stinker)
16 gb ram

I already know I'd need to run it on low settings if at all, but maybe someone could at least show some screenshots of what the game looks like at lowest settings/resolution? Is it still reasonably playable? If I need a new computer I'm screwed for a few years I think!

Thanks guys

You should give it a go.
Don't forget we all enjoy a Steam "refund" option. If the sim is not to your taste (unlikely if subs are your thing) or can't run on your system, you have 2 hrs max to test upon launching the game.

I usually hit refund at the one hr mark to stay on the safe side.

Dude... ok. I'm convinced. Yes I'm a sub guy, like I hardly even buy games, but this is a must almost for me. Aces of the Deep... Every silent hunter... hell I played Hunt for Red October on my Apple II with a TRACKBALL MOUSE (amazing technology in its day). If you don't hear back assume the escorts found me with ASDIC and I had to return the game!

dude, "i had a dream", it come true !

...it run like a charm even on old rigs while being on early access, worth every cent !

...you may lower the shadows to medium and wake resolution to 512x512, ithink thats the main thing what is impacting the most.

It works, it works!

Can confirm, my above specs will run it (albeit low settings, still looks great though).

Can confirm, did just spend 5 hours on patrol with my crew.

Can confirm that while in command of U96, this Kaleun sank 14000 tons of shipping on his first patrol.

Can confirm that was my first multi crew uboat experience (duh), and can confirm it was AMAZING.

Just jumped in with some random people with no voice and using typing chat alone had a great time! Even if finding people who knew how to use the TDC for me was challenging...!

Wow guys, wow. This is amazing, I can RECOMMEND 100%

Default Negative trim tank

I had a lot of trouble maintaining depth.

Found that the neg tank begins full of water! It is supposed to be empty, used for crash dives.

Like a flight sim with distant controls all over the plane interior, but fun.

I don't like the fact that random people can just pop into your boat and start messing with everything.

All in all, it is a good simulator, not an arcade game. Lots of learning and practice to do.

Feel free to set your lobby to invisible or friends only to prevent the trouble from joining easily.
