Default USS Drum (SS-228) website - Drum228.org

I'm working on a website that is just for the USS Drum (SS-228). I'm trying to cover all the bases - history, photos, war patrol reports, and museum information including restoration. All of this in one central place.

Updating the website all the time, take a look:

http://www.drum228.org

After all, she is our OLDEST American WWII-era museum submarine.

Completed a WWII crew roster (updates and corrections are still in store I'm sure). Added some photos to war patrols 1, 5, 9, and 14.

Confirmed that she did have a pair of 5"/25 deck guns when she left Hunters Point for what would have been patrol 14. How awesome.

To be honest, I know nothing about Mobile. My wife and I just drive down there to visit Battleship Memorial Park and to eat at a good seafood restaurant just down the road (Original Oyster House).

However, Mobile is a large city. Maybe you could find something on the Mobile Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau website. I'm not much help.

I'll be returning there on March 19th if everything works out.

edit:

Mobile Regional Airport

American Eagle, ASA, Continental Express, Delta, Northwest Airlink, and US Airways.

Cool! In SH4 I'm playing as the U.S.S. Drum in the early war. I've sprung a few leaks(10% hull damage), but sunk many japs!

The real "Drum" will interest me now also in research. The Drum was the first of the Gato's! I'm building a 52 inch Gato model, but the coning tower is later war.
