Default TWoS Preferred Install Location

Hello, trying to run TWos, here is what install says:

It's highly recommended to install your game outside of "C:/Program Files (x86)" folder due to possible restrictions!

Is there a PREFERRED location, say for example f:/Ubisoft/Sh5 where F is a drive windows is not located, OR should I install on my C:/Ubisoft/Sh5, C:/Sh5 drive where windows is located? Im assuming I would have to point the Sh5.exe file on my desktop to that location? So far my install shows the splash screen, but then it eithers CTD on trying to start a new campign or wont sync server. I have made sure to pause dowloads, automatic Ubisoft updates and play in offline mode, thanks.

Anyone? I really am trying very hard to get this mod up and running, still no luck. the instructions for intall says its advisable to NOT install the game itself into the the C:\Program86 folder, where then would be the BEST place to install the game?

1. make up a folder location like C:/Silenthunter?
2. Since I have to link it to UBi connect, would this requie me to do anything different, OR would UBI connect be directed to this file path because if I reinstall the game with ubisoft download and specify a different file path, UBI connect will set that up for me?

It doesn't matter as long as it is outside of a protected folder.

Can I install my UBIconnect to the C:/ file folder, OR DOES ubisoft connect need to be even in the C:/program86 file folder? thanks!

Thanks, thats where I put my launcher...question when I go to launch the game, why does it keep trying to synchronize my game settings? Does that mean that I am not launching the game offline?

I think it's for your saved games in the cloud.

Thanks Skin, I have the game all up and running with the TWoS mod, it turns out to have been user error, I was just installing the mod patch and NOT the mod itself woops...being able to follow directions is a major plus lol. Happy to be running the game with the mod, not happy about the two warships I attacked during daylight which sunk me hehe
