Ok. Thanks. Since I play TMO21 w/o RSRD I hope this release solves the CTD problem.

Is there an effective range on this? For example if a DD is dropping DC 3000 yards away is the DD that is listening for me directly above deaf?

Yes and no, much depends on mods, weather, crew ratings and what you're doing. DD's can only do one of two things, listen or use sonar, they can't do both, but have several on you, once can listen why others hunt with sonar.

I've set most of my escorts to elite. Very dangerous in a group. Almost always one DD is listening with his bow pointed right at me, when another makes a run, the listening DD will make a run.

The good news for you is the listening DD doesn't have a good fix on you, meaning you're doing something right...deep, silent running, maybe rough water, but probably a lower rated escort, some are quite dumb.

I got caught in calm water, you can see one escort listening pointed right at me, why two escorts make runs. Enemy crew ratings make a big difference on how they attack, higher ratings, vet and elite they can be quite a chore to deal with. Elite escorts seem to work very well in attacking together, why lower rated escorts almost always attack one at a time making passes from the stern.

The mod effect is great.

I gave the mod a go last night but got CTD.

The CTD always happen when I just fired a torpedo which was strange. Happen three times so I un-installed it and SH4 runs alright now.

I had to use the patch file for GFO and TMO, don't know about stock but don't think it would hurt to throw it in an see if it works OK.

I just downloaded from the link in the first post without any issues. Using Firefox. Maybe a problem with your browser? NoScript or ad-blocker programs?

For people playing TMO2 without RSRD just add this little .dat file to your library folder (or save it in the TheDarkWraith_DC_Water_Disturbance_v2_0_SH4 folder before enabling it) and it should work fine with TMO2!

Sorry, I missed seeing you asked me a question. No, I just tried that link and got the "file has been deleted" message. It's not just you.
