SHO Rookie, reporting...

Not a Navy guy, ex-Army aviation actually, but I have been a sim fan since GATO in 1984.

Got back into PC subsims more recently with Crash Dive then SH3, SH5, SH4, UBOAT and Cold Waters. Also Atlantic Fleet. No mods yet. Subsims have great market life since they have lower sys requirements. And therefore cheaper than AV sims.

Real world: Taken tours of several fleet diesel boats and once had a personal tour of the Los Angeles-class USS Honolulu by the XO before its last run from Pearl to Wash for decommissioning.

Also have been down 100 meters twice off Oahu and Kona, Big Island, in tourist subs (Atlantis subs).

Graphics are not as important to me as realistic behaviors.

Look forward to future interactions. Thanks.

Welcome aboard, Mahalo, Kamahina, Kamehameha, Plate Lunch and Book'em Danno.

My best friend, Navy or otherwise, used to be an ET on the Hono. I was an ET on the Bremerton. I spent more time on Oahu than I probably should have.

Seriously, we set the record for the World's Longest 18 Month Overhaul when we finally got out of the shipyard after 49 months. I was only there for half of it, but that was more than enough.

Great to be aboard with actual submariners. I hope to learn until I implode from the depths of your and other's collective knowledge.
