Well to explain Il2's point system

PE-2 (bombeR) 200 points worth

Kratos : 200 points for that one Pe-2

Me&Oberon also 1 Pe-2 but at landing webailed out so 50% penalty

100 points each.

if you would get killed or captured thats 90% penalty

I always wondered what sort of demented wacko would count the points according to how many engines the plane has

By that count a TB-3 is worth more than a He 111

Luftwaffe did. :p The points were given from destroyed, separated from formation and damaged.

Single-engine plane:
1pt.
0pt.
0pt.

Twin-engined bomber:
2pts.
1pt.
½pt.

Four-engined bomber:
3pts.
2pts.
1pt.

Deutschland, Deutschland, uber Lolwaffles!

First mission of the day, saw Hunter, Oberon and Kratos sent to escort some Romanian He-111s, at first Hunter said "Sod it" but then he realised just what was being thrown at those 111s and decided to stick to the mission. A mission that had to be restarted once after Oberon applied just a smidgeon too much starboard rudder and wound up in a pile on the side of the runway on take-off.
On the second attempt, Von Manstein and his merry bunch of tank commanders came through to watch the Lolwaffles take off.

The Lolwaffles climbed to height to intercept the Yaks and sure enough stumbled across them. Hunter nailed three, Oberon nailed two and Kratos chased Oberons wingman.

However, on return to base, Oberon slipped up. At 450kph, he dropped his gear...as you can imagine, this did not end well...

Weighing up the choice between the cost of one Me109G2 or his career as a Leutnant with nine kills under his belt, Oberon aimed his aircraft at the far side of the airfield and bailed out. The 109 glided into a nice belly landing fireball in the hills not far from the airbase as Kratos was putting his plane down.

At the beginning of mission two, Fincuan and Taskforce joined the three Lolwaffles, as Oberon opened up a parcel from Onkel Goring and was delighted to find a Iron Cross First Class dedicated to the "Stalingrad Yak MURDERER!! "
This mission was a fighter sweep over the airfield at F8, however Taskforce, unable to join the G2 squadron, was forced to take an F2, and spent the rest of the mission until quite later on, coaxing every delicate joule of energy out of the Daimler-Benz to get himself there before all the LaGs were downed.

Battle was joined over the airfield, with Hunter getting one on his six, and Oberon doing his best to clear it, he chased over the LaG, clearing Hunters tail, but then lost the damn Soviet thing in the ground clutter. Cursing his bad eyesight he pulled up and looked for another target, Hunter had nailed a couple, Fin had and Kratos looked to have as well...then a patter of machine gun fire told him that he had company, turning to intercept he saw a LaG heading north. He turned north to follow but the LaG seemed to have a slight speed advantage because Oberon, try as hard as he might, could not close the gap. Then he realised why the LaG was so uninterested in turning around to fight...he had spotted Kratos in the square ahead. Radioing ahead a warning, Oberon tried to close the gap, he tried long range pot shots trying to spook the LaG into turning but nothing...then suddenly, the LaG begun a turn to port. Oberon breathed a sigh of relief and began to turn to match, wondering what had spooked the LaG...suddenly a 109F2 screamed past his cockpit within a matter of meters.
Taskforce had arrived.
Oberon attempted to close the distance to the LaG, but Taskforce was there and not budging.

Rather than risk a collision, Oberon gave up on the LaG and went after a reported sighting of some IL2s from Fin, who ran out of fuel and had to crash land shortly afterwards, contact was lost with the IL2s and so Oberon and Taskforce returned to base.

Jawohl, nice report

All I'm gonna say is my running out of fuel had a little bit to do with the IL2s, but in my defense I can say that in addition to the LaGG driver dispatched earlier in the mission four of his IL2 comrades won't be back for their vodka!

Yep, And in the end after a dogfight with the F2`s pea shooters (and most of my ammo) I got that lag down on the ground the hard way, and made it out without a scratch.

There was one time I got so close to that thing, we could have seen eatch other (meer meters.) ,and I filled him with bullets.

Lags are some tough planes when your in a F2.
