I can try it ZW but I never had to do that before the re-install.

Hang in there Chucky, you may learn that it is the simplest solution
ie. (clearing the Cache folder) rather then thinking it's the most drastic (component incompatibility).

Remember: PC's are like woman. It's always something YOU did! (or didn't do )

Default dll files in windows system and windows 32

Chucky; I had a guy with those missing files on another post here's what he has and it' s working now.Mine's thez sam.Check your folder.

Cheers

msvcp71.dll all alone in the windows system folder

msvci70.dll
msvcp70.dll
msvcr70.dll
msvcr71.dll all in the windows system32 folder and a copy in the TvsT folder(just in case)

So far its working like this and I just cranked up all the visual options to max and the 1680x1050 resolution to match my monitor.
so far so good.

I got it working!
But now it's broken again.

'Unable to initialise sound driver'
I have all those files in the right places,so I am not sure.
This must be a TvT issue,every other game plays fine.
I will get to the bottom of it,don't worry comrades

Default Sound Drivers

Chucky did you read my previous post abotu problems with sound files?

Here's the repeat;it might help you:

This is how to do (translated by google)

Typing Start-> Run-> dxdiag

On the Sound tab, the current sound settings are displayed, and you can test DirectSound.

The slider for setting the sound hardware acceleration is used to correct audio glitches that might be caused by some audio drivers. The best way to troubleshoot DirectSound audio problems is to reduce the acceleration by one notch and re-testing the application. Lowering the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level from the default "full acceleration" may lead to non-functioning of advanced audio processing techniques such as 3D spatialization.

Default Sound problems

Chucky I went to a Uk based site which is dedicated to TvsT.I found 1 post which might or might not be of help.Anyway nothing is netirely useless and who knows?The first one deals with intro videos but also mentions video or sound problems. Here they are:

Game crashes upon playing intro videos.
A: In order to display the introvids, the latest videocodecs are required. There is a codecpack that helped a lot of people with video or sound problems. The k-lite-codec pack can be found here: http://k-lite-codec-pack.softonic.de/)installing this pack might solve your video problems. Alternatively, deleting the intro vids from the game directory (not recommended) forces the game to skip the vids and fire up the game instantly.

Luck!

Guys! Now it works!

I had to sacrifice a few Virgins (boy,they were hard to find) to the great Gaming God and He has granted me a working copy of TvT!

I can't tell you how I fixed it,but what I can now do is install TvT blindfolded and enter the serial number from memory.

Now all I have to do is install ZW's member's mod and the refuel scripts.

Just for clarification I install the 2B version only,or do I have to put the earlier versions on too.At this stage I don't want any more cock-ups.I have made another copy of the working TvT folder just in case.

Frinik,thanks for all your help mate,you are a real star and ZW you can probably dis-regard the execution file I sent you.

That's fantastic Chucky and yes frinik is awesome. But I do have a tip for
you. In you execution.log I noticed that "UseEAX: = true" and "JoystickEnabled: = true"

In your \T34vsTiger\Scripts\GameSettings.script you can change those
two settings (use all lowercase) by replacing the "true" with false.

// EAX sound
final static boolean UseEAX = false;

// enable/disable joystick
final static boolean EnableJoystick = false;

This can save you from future issues.

OK,I have done that ZW.
I just installed the 2B mod on my working install and now the game crashes?
What order do I need to install them?

It seems I have forgotten everything just lately.

Did you install the new video codex?
and make sure you reboot to clear the virtual memory.
This issue with crashing with 2b can be fixed by un-installing 2b and installing
v1 and then 2b ontop.
But before doing anything send me your execution.log again I can zero in on
your problem.
